Notes on prices
Prices are in UK pound based on the cost per week for each apartment. One bedroom apartments are based on 2 people sharing. Each additional person is charged at £25 per person per week. Discounts are available for bookings of three weeks or more. Heating will be charged for separately based on usage.
Changeover day
Changeover is generally Saturday to Saturday. However mid week bookings and shorter stays will be considered subject to availability.
Apartments are available from 4.00 pm on the date of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure.
Notes on accommodation
All apartments are air-conditioned and our prices are fully inclusive.
All apartments have central heating. Guests have complete control over the heating which is charged for separately soley based on usage.
WIFI is available at no extra cost. Guests should bring their own laptop.
All windows have been fitted with fly screens.
Hairdryers are supplied in each apartment.
We have a large DVD and book library.
There is a communal laundry room with iron and ironing board.
Pool/beach towels can be hired at a small charge.
Cots/highchairs/baby baths are available on request and at no extra charge.
Babysitting/listening is available.
With 24 hours notice you can order traditional meals prepared locally to eat in the comfort of your apartment.
There are comprehensive information packs in each apartment with books and leaflets on the area and a restaurant guide. We live on site and are always available to pass on our knowledge of the local area and some great restaurants.
Accessibility
Our ground floor apartment Girasole is suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
The spacious landscaped gardens offer areas for dining, relaxing or simply lazing by the elegantly enclosed 12m x 6m private pool where guests can gaze at the stunning views whilst enjoying the fresh air and peaceful surroundings. Sunbeds with luxurious cushions and sunshades are provided and Girasole (2 bedroom apartment) also has a private garden to the rear of the property. BBQs are available for use by the guests where private dining can be enjoyed on the terraces, under the gazebo, around the pool or indeed anywhere in the gardens. There is ample private parking. The pool is open between May and the end of October.
Coast/Beach
Only 30 minutes drive from the blue flag beaches of the Adriatic coast. Marche's coastline offers some stunning scenery namely Monte Conero with its high cliffs (offering 18 walks) and small beaches tucked away in corners of natural beauty. Porto San Giorgo, a pretty medieval fishing town with sandy beaches has some fantastic fish restaurants, our favourite but just one of many.

18 hole golf course - Monte Conero National Park - approx 1 hours drive.
Skiing
There is skiing in the Sibillini mountains. Sarnano (Sassotetto)and Bolognola - 1600m max height. Number of runs - 4 blue, 7 red and 2 black.
Special interest holidays
As part of your holiday you can now learn how to prepare, cook and present local specialities at the fantastic il Maniero restaurant and art club, just 10 minutes from Caserma Carina Country House. You will enjoy a warm and friendly welcome from academy chef, Guida Stacchietti who will create regional dishes using fresh, local produce from this rural and unspoilt area of Italy. You will be taught a whole variety of local cuisine including homemade pasta and wonderful desserts just to mention a few. Part owner Daniele Cristallini is an accomplished artist and you will be surrounded by works of art and antiques which can be purchased should you fall in love with a particular item. Staying in luxury self catering apartments, complete with cooking facilities, you will have plenty of spare time to visit the many local markets and try out your newly taught skills using local recipes supplied by the restaurant. Travel
We are ideally situated with many available airports: Ancona 1 hour, Pescara 1.5 hours, Rimini 2 hours, Perugia 2 hours, Bologna 3 hours, Rome 4 hours. Flights are available from a variety of UK airports and you can get some great deals with Ryanair. Car hire is essential although in our quieter periods we will consider airport transfers from Ancona.
Distances
Caserma Carina is on the edge of Mogliano, only a 15 minute walk to the centre of town. The Sibillini National park is only 40 minutes by car where guests can enjoy skiing in the winter and walking throughout the year as well as other activities. The historic city of Macerata which holds the second largest open-air opera festival during July and August is only 25 minutes by car. The ancient cities of Urbino and Ascoli Piceno can be reached under 2 hours.

Marche is an amazing combination of beautiful rolling countryside, mountain ranges, ancient hilltop villages, stunning coastline and beautiful cities. Marche offers the traveller a wealth of culture, art, crafts, excellent local cuisine and beautiful scenery and being fairly undiscovered you will rarely be faced with the crowds now associated with the tourist sites of Tuscany. The list of villages, towns and cities worth seeing is endless where you can visit the numerous historic attractions or simply roam the narrow streets and beautiful piazzas. For the traveller who simply enjoys soaking up the local atmosphere Marche is certainly the place. For those wishing to take part in more energetic activities the region offers it all - skiing, walking, tennis, horse riding, twin-engine go karting, quad biking, hot air ballooning, fishing, sailing and scuba diving. Being on the edge of Mogliano guests will have easy access to banks, supermarkets, local shops, good restaurants and bars.
Booking notes
There is a booking form to complete to confirm availability and prices.
A 20% deposit is required to confirm the booking and the balance of the payment is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Should the holiday be booked less than 8 weeks before arrival, the total amount is due immediately.
A €200 cash deposit will be required on arrival which will be refunded at the end of the holiday subject to any damages.

About the owner
We actually live at Caserma Carina throughout the year with our 7 year old daughter Grace. As a result we're able to maintain our extremely high standards here at CC and also pass on our wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area, restaurants, festivals, good beaches and everything that will make your holiday not just a good one but a brilliant one. We both fell in love with Italy many years ago and finally decided to make the huge leap across to Italy and run our own business, leaving the insurance industry behind. We have no regrets and can see ourselves driving round in a little Piaggio Ape when we're in our 80s!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Marche is relatively undiscovered. Real Italy! With beautiful countryside not dissimilar to neighbouring Tuscany and Umbria but without the crowds. Marche has everything, peace and tranquility, quiet roads, a long coastline, an abundance of ancient hilltop towns to explore, the Sibillini mountains and a great deal more. There are various airports all within an easy drive of Caserma Carina. We also wanted to be surrounded by beautiful countryside but within walking distance of a lovely ancient town with restaurants, bars, all shops and facilities. Mogliano, a 15 minute walk away, was just perfect with a lovely buzzing atmosphere, especially on market morning and during the long hot summer evenings. We have 3 restaurants in Mogliano plus a very good pizzeria in the park - not to be missed!
