This superb stone-built barn boasts a stunning setting near Castellina in Chianti vineyards and olive groves. For the beauty of the place, in 1495 the house and land was given as dowry by Anton Maria Gherardini to his daughter Lisa alias Monna Lisa in the famous portrait by Leonardo da Vinci's Gioconda. Conveniently located in the heart of Chianti near San Donato in Poggio, only 10min drive from the dual carriageway to Florence and Siena. There are plenty of good restaurants and characteristic villages to be visited within 20mns drive. For the less active, this is the perfect spot for sundowners. Interiors are of fine quality and naturally bright living areas. Amenties include satellite TV,well equipped kitchen & prettly tiled bathrooms with showers.The panoramic pool (6m x 12m) with a jacuzzi corner is a perfect spot to admire the Chianti hills and their spectacular sunsets. On request we can rent the two flats independently, each for up to 6guests.

PLEASE NOTE prices are for the entire property with the exclusive use of the pool. If you require only part of the property for up to 6 guests please enquiry! Prices include:water, electricity, gas for cooking and hot water,weekly change of linen, pool towels, ironing facilities, cot and haighchair on req, use of double sofa bed in the living room with linen Prices do not include: security refundable deposit 250Euros in cash. Final Cleaning 13Euros per person. Heating on request 6Euros per cubic metre (meter reading on arrival and departure). Laundry service (hand in washing which will be given back to hang to dry) cost is 5Euros per washing. 2 mountain bikes available to negotiate hire price with owner. Extra cleaning 15Euros/hour.Extra change of linen 15Euros per full set.

Location Information: In the village of San Donato, only 3km away, there are some grocery stores, a supermarket, a pharmacy, doctors, two banks, a Post Office, a petrol station, wine shops where you can taste the famous Chianti Classico wines, and a museum of country culture. In the Romanesque Pieve di San Donato you can admire the baptismal font in glazed earthenware by Giovanni della Robbia. Both San Donato and Castellina have several excellent restaurants, taverns, and inns. In the neighborhood you'll find tennis courts, a golf course, fishing, and horse riding possibilities. You can rent a mountain-bike on our farm, and our gentle hills are full of shady lanes, perfect for cycling or trekking.
