Our farm is located in the heart of the region of Chianti Classico near Greve, looking out over Montefioralle, a splendid medieval village, in an untouched natural setting. It is on the top of a hill (1400 feet above sea level) with a magnificent 360 °view. Even in the summer it stays cool, with a fresh breeze. The property includes a cluster of four houses that once served as a stopping place on the ancient salt road (there's still a trace of the road in the path which goes by the pool) as well as approximately 10 hectares (20 acres) of land, including four hectares of vineyards, an olive grove, a stand of cypress trees, meadow and woods. When we bought the farm in 1994, it was semi abandoned and the buildings were in terrible disrepair. Since then we have dedicated ourselves to restoring them as closely as possible to their original form, using only local and environmentally compatible materials and personally supervising every phase of the restoration down to the last detail.

La Cantina (Sleeps 2/4)

This apartment, situated in a part of the carefully restored barn, offers a large living room with kitchenette, two sofa beds which turn into two full size single beds. The bedroom is up a few steps behind the kitchen. It is super large and has a nice double bed. There is an ensuite bathroom finished in soft cream italian ceramic. The private terrace is covered by a grape vine. Even on a sunny afternoon there is an oak tree which will offer lots of shade. |

I Mandorli (Sleeps 10)

This house was the last we restructured in every detail (summer 2009) and is independent from the rest of our little village. I Mandorli is structured on three levels and can host up to 10 guests. It benefits from its own private garden an amazing view on the neighbourly hills and disposes of its own private infinity pool. On the ground floor you will find a large and and fully equipped kitchen with a fire place, next to a spacious living room on two levels, from which you have direct access to the garden and the pool. Still on the ground level, two double bedrooms have their own private bathrooms. Furthermore you will dispose of a convenient library/TV room with WiFi internet access. On the upper floor there is a large double air-conditioned bedroom as well as a double bedroom with a bathroom (with Jacuzzi tub) in common. Finally outside, with an independent entrance from the loggia, there are two single bedrooms sharing a bathroom. |

L'Eremo (Sleeps 2)

L'Eremo is a very small cottage with a double bedroom, a kitchen corner and a bathroom with shower. It is on the top of the hill over the swimming pool and it is completely renewed this year. |

Outside
The swimming-pool (12x6m), with its breath-taking view, is situated among the olive-trees not far away from the apartaments.
Behind the apartments there is a playground area dedicated to children, where they can play.
In the proprety there are also some mountain-bikes available for guests who want to discover the country around.
It is also possible to organize for interested guests "trekking a cavallo" (horse trekking) on one or more days along the paths of Chianti.
Golf
A widely known golf course, L'Ugolino, is only ten kilometers far from our property.
Travel
The Florence airport is 29 Km.
Coming by car, from the highway (autostrada A1): at the Firenze Sud exit, take state highway 222 for Grassina e Greve. Just after the first house in Greve turn right for Montefioralle, go through the town and continue on the paved road for about 2 Km (1.2 miles). When you get toward the top of the hill our farm is on your left.
Distances
Our farm is in Tuscany near (2.5 Km) Greve in Chianti, which is about 25 Km (15 miles) from Florence and approximately 30 Km (18 miles) from Siena.
Further details
Nearby, guests can visit interesting villages: the Pieve di San Cresci, S.Pietro a Sillano, the medieval village of Montefioralle, the beautiful Badia a passignano.
Some shops, chemists, banks and post officies are available not far from the property.

Payment:
At time of booking, 30% nonrefundable down payment with credit card.
At check-in, 70% final payment with credit card (Visa, Mastercard) or cash.
Security deposit:
Guests are responsible for the accommodation furniture during their stay, therefore, a security deposit of € 250,00/500,00 is required at check-in time (only cash). It will be returned at check-out after an accurate check of the accommodation. In case of damage(s), management is authorised to keep the deposit.
