Casa Cassetta is a town house in the ‘Centro Storico’ - historic centre - of Montedinove and as such has no dedicated parking space. However a free car park is just 20 meters from the house and you can load/unload outside the house.
We have a private swimming pool in our other house just 5 minutes drive from Montedinove. The 10 meter pool set in a stunning secluded position is normally available for guests during the summer months please contact us for details and availability. Montedinove is one of the most attractive of all the many stunning medieval hill towns in this part of Italy. A short walk from the house takes you to the beautifully proportioned central piazza with superb renascence ecclesiastic architecture and delightful bar tucked under the magnificent and imposing town hall. The residents of Montedinove are justly proud of their town, it is always very clean and welcoming.

Coast/Beach
The pleasant town of Grottammare offers the rare luxury of a free beach in an Italian seaside town just 30 minutes drive from the house. The beach is surrounded by palm trees with free showers and a drinking fountain within easy walk of the town center. The sea is safe and warm with shallow sandy beaches. There are many other free beaches and plenty of private ones up and down this stretch of the Adriatic.

Skiing
There are a number of ski resorts in the Sibillini Mountains offering family rather than taxing runs. The nearest is around 40 minutes from the house.

Travel
Flying to Ancona or Pescara airports via Ryanair from Stanstead airport - and now Liverpool to Ancona - are the fastest– and almost certainly the cheapest – routes. Currently there is one early morning flight a day to both Ancona and Pescara from Stansted and 3 flights a week from Liverpool. Montalto is pretty much half way between these two airports and travel time by motorway is around 1 hour 20 minutes from either. Rome and Bologna are both around 2.5 hours drive from the house.

Distances
Montedinove is the ideal holiday destination for travelers to the Marche offering as it does a taste of real Italy. 25 minutes from the Adriatic beaches to the east and 35 minutes to the Sibillini Mountains in the west, with the cities of Ascoli Picena (30 mins) to the south and Macerata (45 mins) to the north and numerous beautiful medieval stone built towns in between, the ideal situation for those wishing to explore the region or looking to step back in time for a peaceful and relaxing break.
