There’s a large kitchen and dining area set alfresco in the picturesque and tranquil orchard. A good sized swimming pool with a terrace where you can soak up the wonderful Puglian sun and all the home comforts that you need to complete your dream holiday in Salento. La Fata Turchina is situated inland but it’s only twenty minutes from the sea. And there’s a choice of two! The Ionian or Adriatic are just minutes away, with a choice of white sandy beaches or rocky cliffs and not forgetting the stunning and ancient grottos found in the region too.

Otranto 18km. Gallipoli 25km. Alimini 22km. Sandy beaches, rocky coves and a stunning coastline all set against the backdrop of the two crystal clear blue seas (The Ionian and the Adriatic).
Golf
Just 30 minutes from our Villa near the Adriatic coast, the course and the facilities of the Acaya Golf Club are part of the Apulian Golf Board (Consorzio Apulia Golf). The course adjoins, the Nature Reserve of Cesine and it two kilometres away from the Adriatic beach of San Cataldo. The golf course covers an area of 120 hectares and is surrounded by a thick wood of holly-oaks, vast olive-groves and rare spontaneous flora, which give to the area a typical Mediterranean aspect. The golf course with 18 championship holes is situated in this area of extraordinary beauty. The holes are placed in the strips of land not occupied by the maquis bushes, the typical Mediterranean vegetation surrounding it. From the fortified farmhouse which has been converted into the Club House there is a splendid view over the course, with the two large lakes that flank the 1st and the 18th holes. The links have been designed so as to respect and enhance the surrounding nature.

Salento is one of Puglia’s huge wine growing areas and the vino is not only great value it tastes fabulous too. The food is delicious, fresh and local. And for seafood lovers...it’s as if you’ve died and gone to heaven! Wine tasting, boat trips, cooking classes available on request.

Great place to stay in a very warm family friendly atmosphere. Clean and comfortable place with good pool and BBQ and kitchen facilities. Good location. Need a car. Lots to do locally, and come back to relax in the pool. I Would definitely go back. As I was laying on a sunbed by the pool, with the children in playing safely in it, I thought its like having your own villa without the work involved! Its the convenience of self-catering, theres an outdoor kitchen (fridge bbq all utensils & dining things -wine glasses), but of course your breakfast is served for you & your room is done. We'll probably go back next year, the children loved it, we had a family room which was big enough for us & our cases & even big enough for us to relatively tidy! The surrounding towns are steeped in history & you are 20 mins from all coasts; one beach especially is great for children. The pool area is a lovely place to relax and catch some sun in between sightseeing. Everything is spotless.
