Its 11th century castle is clustered with houses, perched on a pinnacle with a stunning vista of the sweet well-tended countryside of Tuscany, little changed since Perugino set up his easel.

Gas, electricity and water are included in the price. Heating is only charged for in the winter months and is metered, so what you pay depends entirely on how much is used. Likewise with the telephone you are charged for calls made. A charge is made for heating the swimming pools.
