Casa Kathleen is perfectly situated on the coast in a secluded position close to an area that is environmentally protected, yet within a short drive of the charm and bustle of Ortigia and Syracuse. Also within a short drive there are several sandy beaches, numerous good restaurants (3 of which are on the waterfront) and local shops. The villa is substantially built in traditional style enabling it to remain pleasantly cool in the hot summer months. There is attractive tiling and joinery throughout with traditional furnishings. An arched verandah runs along the southern aspect and a large sun terrace with barbecue is situated on the western side. Both are suitable for sitting out or for dining with a good deal of privacy and lovely sea views. The informal gardens also offer seclusion and abound with cacti and palms. There is ample private parking. Helpful, English speaking agents will meet you on arrival with the keys and are on hand if you should have any problems during your stay.

Outside
The arched verandah offers shade for al fresco dining or relaxing when the sun is too hot. The sun terrace has loungers, dining table/chairs and a barbecue. Both areas have outside lighting and enjoy delightful sea views.
Coast/Beach
There are three small sandy beaches which are quite pretty within a few minutes drive from Casa Kathleen. These beaches are rarely busy and are used mainly by locals.
A little further away (15mins) lies the resort of Fontane Bianche which has larger expanses of beach.

Casa Kathleen is an ideal base from which to explore the endless number of archaeological sites, baroque towns, nature reserves and beaches which adorn southern Sicily.

Car hire is recommended to make the most of this beautiful area. The nearest airport is a pleasant 50 minute drive away at Catania.

A deposit of £250 per week is required to secure a booking. The balance, together with a returnable £300 security deposit against breakages and excess cleaning charges is payable six weeks prior to arrival.
