High in the Chianti Classico region on the hillside opposite Lucolena, looking down the valley and up past Dudda to La Panca, Busecchio is privately and tranquilly set in 10 acres at the end of its own road. 5 minutes from Lucolena, 25 minutes from each of the market towns of Greve, Radda and Figline (whence Florence and Arezzo are only 25 minutes by car or train) and 45 minutes from Siena. Handy to many good walks, many good restaurants and excellent supermarket and other shopping. With 2 and a half bathrooms, 2 sitting rooms, dining room and fully fitted kitchen, Busecchio is both comfortable and practical. Large terrace with outside marble dining table, large umbrella, terrace furniture, barbecue and wonderful views. Private pool set in its own fenced landscaped area with pool furniture and 2 umbrellas, and pergola.

Changeover day
Saturday. Arrivals after 4.00pm, departures before 10.00am. Guests to advise approximate arrival time to facilitate meeting by keyholder.

Notes on accommodation
The bedroom, sitting room, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor all have doors opening onto the terrace.
2 folding cots are available - if required, please request at time of booking.
No pets allowed.
Accessibility
Most of the rooms are on different levels with stone steps between them. Pool accessible by foot down slope from house, and by car from the house's access road.
Outside
House has large terrace with outside furniture. Private pool 7 metre diameter set in own fenced extensive landscaped area with pool furniture and 2 umbrellas, and with large shady pergola with table and chairs.
Travel
Pisa airport 1.75 hours via the Superstrada FI-PI-LI
Bologna airport 2 hours. Detailed directions on request.
A car is essential and is best hired at the airport or in Florence.
Distances
5 mins. from village of Lucolena, 25 mins. from each of 3 market towns - Greve-in-Chianti, Radda-in-Chianti, Figline. 25 mins. by fast train from Figline to Florence. About an hour by car to Siena, a bit more to Arezzo, San Gimignano, a bit less to Castellina-in-Chianti.
Further details
Busecchio is reached by a road about 1 mile long. The alimentari in Lucolena is only 5 minutes away. Other shops and markets are within easy reach (Figline has an excellent supermarket, slightly smaller ones in Greve and Radda) and there are 4/5 good restaurants within 0.5 hours drive of the house. Booking notes
Provisional bookings, by email, telephone or fax, will be good for 5 working days, within which a 25% deposit must be received to confirm the booking. The balance to be received at least 60 days before the arrival date, otherwise the booking will be cancelled without further reference or refund of deposit.

About the owner
Busecchio is our own family property, where we spend most of July and August. So the house is equipped for practical, comfortable family use, with many books and a number of board games, and the terrace and pool area are fitted out with a view to spending much of the day in the sun but with appropriate shade. Guests wanting a Grand Hotel will be disappointed, but holiday-makers wanting a relaxed time in peaceful privacy, as we do, will find Busecchio just the thing. Which is why we spend so much of our lives there.
