We can offer 2 flats, a large two bedroom apartment in the heart of city centre and a small two room apartment close to city centre, both with garden. The "City centre" flat (2 bedroom apt) is at the first floor of an ancient palace and has a private garden. The small 1 bedroom apt "Close to city centre" is located on the second floor of a two floor villa, 5 minutes walk far from the city centre. It has private garden and also private parking.

Changeover day
Saturday of every week is the usual changeover day for the "City centre" apartment and Friday for "Close to city centre" apartment. Arrangements can be made for other days.
Arrival time to start from 3.30pm. Departure by 10.30am

Located on the second floor of a two floor villa, this two room flat is fully furnished for a comfortable holiday stay including also a private parking and an own garden where it is possible to relax on the sunchairs getting a suntan or enjoying the shadow of a big tree. The apartment has plenty of quality storage space for clothes. Comfortable firm bed. Kitchen has two radiant hobs with built-in fridge and a microwave. Bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Password available for free wireless internet connection. This area is a nice place from which to enjoy a holiday in Lucca because the centre and the train station are both easily accessible by foot. This flat is also a wonderful base for a couple wanting to spend a holiday exploring other cities in Tuscany either by train or by car. If you then like to stay in the hills near Lucca I can recommend a lovely accommodaton in Barga. |

Accessibility
The apartment on the ground floor is suitable for family with children, for elderly and may be suitable for people with mobility problems. The apartment on the second floor is suitable for a couple.
Outside
"City centre" apartment has the exclusive use of its walled garden which is furnished with table, chairs, sunbed and BBQ and enjoys a beautiful view of the ancient walls. This is a fantastic place to relax, get a suntan, drink an aperitif and enjoy a leisurely meal. "Close to city centre" apartment has private parking and the exclusive use of the garden to relax on the sun chairs getting a suntan or enjoying the shadow of a big tree.

Versilia beaches easy reachable by train or motorway: Viareggio 20km/12 miles, Forte dei Marmi 29km/18 miles.

Travel
A car is not necessary as the Lucca train station is only an easy few minutes walk far. The nearest airport well connected to Lucca via the local train line, is the Galilei International Airport in Pisa. Several trains go throughout the day Pisa - Lucca (20 mins). The bus goes direct from the airport to the centre of Lucca (50 mins).

Strolling along the shady downtown streets, one can breathe the true atmosphere of Lucca and enjoy the reserved but courteous character of the Lucchese. In the narrow streets, lined with ancient shops and artisans’ studios, the daily life of the city is palpable, hard working and lively.

Re "City Centre": Lovely, clean and bright apartment with a great location inside the old city walls of Lucca. It was very spacious and had all the equipment you could need and good security. It is in a fairly quiet part of town, short walking distances to butcher, baker,supermarket, restaurants, train station and safe walking throughout the town. Useful “library” with lots of tourist info and books in various languages. The garden was a very nice place to eat dinner. The owner is delightful and a joy to work with in planning your stay. Thanks Daniela, we couldn't have ask for more and look forward to returning’.

About the owner
Hello everyone, my name is Daniela. I was born in Lucca and I'm living in a nice villa close to Lucca centre where I organized also a two room apartment so we can be good neighbors. If you want to stay in this apartment, it is the smaller of the two holiday apartments I have in Lucca town and we will be only a few minutes walk away. I also have an ancient villa in Barga and can offer you a lovely accommodation in this magical place that is 21 miles far from Lucca. In the photo, I am with my beloved granddaughter, Giulia, 8 years old.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
The villa where I am pleasantly living and where it is also located the small holiday apartment was built by my parents in 1975 and I've inherited it. My son Michele lives at the first floor and I live at the second floor. Because the apartment was too big for me, I decided to divide it by creating a small holiday apartment that I have tried to furnish as more pleasant and comfortable as possible. Surrounded by other villas with gardens, my villa is located at the end of a short private street in a beautiful and quiet area 5 minutes walk far from the city centre.
Unique benefits of the property
The large holiday house in the heart of city centre is very old, the palace was built by the Archbishop in the eighteenth century. Two sisters of my grandfather have bought and lived in this apartment. I inherited it some years ago. When I am in that cozy house feel close contact with the magic heart of Lucca, with it's ancient and fascinating architectural beauty, to the many artistic, cultural, religious events, from markets to concerts in the squares to classical music in some of the many churches. I am sure that if you come here you too can realize how the magical atmosphere in and around the house is.
