The apartment is one of six self-contained mini apartments and is set on our 8 hectare farm, surrounded by olive and lemon trees. There is plenty of space for outdoor living, playing and parking. The former barn is now a dining area where we serve breakfast in high season - included in rental price. The air-conditioned apartment is completely self-contained with lounge, bathroom, kitchen area, a convertible sofa, fridge, microwave oven and TV. There is a double bed on a raised area accessed via the internal staircase. The apartment is in a quiet location and it's just a 10 minutes' drive to the beach. San Marco harbour is about a 5 minute drive away and there's ample shopping in the area (reachable in a 5 minute drive): supermarket, bakery, bar/ice cream parlour, pharmacy, greengrocer's, hairdresser's, restaurants/pizzerias.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover day is Saturday, but other timings can be considered.

Notes on accommodation
In the high season (July/August), Mediterranean breakfast (coffee, jam, pastries, juice) is included in the price, as is daily cleaning.
Prices in Euros are per week for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children and include electricity, water, gas, the use of linen/towels and the end-of-let cleaning charge.
Accessibility
Ground floor apartment, easy access for the disabled.
Outside
The apartment block is surrounded by lawns, fruit and olive trees and there's a private patio area for outdoor dining (table and chairs provided). In high season (July and August), breakfast is served on the terrace. There is a play area with swings for the children.
Coast/Beach
San Marco Harbour is a 5 minute drive away. The nearest beach is Pozzillo (10 minutes by car, 30 minutes walking) and Ogliastro beach is 20 minutes by car.
Travel
Castellabate medieval village 5km (10 minutes by car).
Naples 120km (2 hours by car, 1.5 hours by train).
Salerno 60km (1 hour by car, 45 minutes by train).
Paestum - Greek temples 25 km (1/2 hour by car).
Pompeii and Vesuvius 80 km (1.5 hours by car or train).
Capri (high season) from San Marco harbour a 2 hour journey across the sea.
Ravello, Sorrento and Positano and the exceptionally beautiful Amalfi coastline by hydrofoil (25 minutes) or by coastal road (1 hour).
Distances
For shopping there's San Marco (5 minutes by car), Santa Maria (10 minutes), Agropoli (20 minutes), Salerno (1 hour). Lunch on the coast in Acciaroli 30 minutes by car. Lunch in the Alburni Mountains 1 hour by car.

I live in Italy with my husband Salvatore - we are both doctors. Our two children are both students.
We both work, but spend as much time as we can at our place in the Cilento countryside
Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
I grew up in Castellabate and a few years ago we converted my father's farmhouse and barn into holiday apartments. We love spending time here and enjoy the views, nature and good food.

The property is at the end of a private road and it's great to relax in a quiet location, with no traffic - surrounded by olive trees and views of the medieval village of Castellabate and the surrounding countryside. Our vegetable garden provides all the fresh ingredients we need.
