They are in the ideal location for you to spend an unforgettable holiday of experiencing and breathing the magical atmosphere of the Alghero-Catalan culture. Alghero, a city in the province of Sassari, is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Sardinia. The town is nicknamed the "little Barcelona" because of the Spanish colonization which began in the XIV century that has left a clear imprint Catalan that can be seen today by the fortifications, the architecture of the buildings and the narrow streets of the old town.

Changeover day
Guests are welcome from 4 pm on their day of arrival, and leave by 10am on the day of departure. Changeovers are usually on a Saturday, however it may be possible to make alternative arrangements. Feel free to contact us if you have other suggestions.

Coast/Beach
You can enjoy the San Giovanni beach, just in front of the building.
Other beautiful beaches in Alghero are “Spiaggia delle Bombarde”. and “Lazzaretto”, both beyond Fertilia. Regular buses run from the town. The coastal drive from Alghero to Bosa is a popular favourite for an excursion as it is also the opposite side towards Capo Caccia.

On the beach you can enjoy scuba diving and snorkling, surfing and sailing board. We'll give you all information at your arrival.

Travel
The airport is in Alghero (about 7km from the house), served among the others by low-cost airlines company Ryanair. Other airports are in Olbia (140km) and Cagliari (140km). Nearest harbours, Porto Torres and Olbia; ferries from Genova, Livorno, Civitavecchia.
From the Alghero airport you can either rent a car, catch a taxi or a shuttle.

Distances
The beach of San Giovanni is just in front of the building and the city centre is about 15 minutes walking.

In Alghero the inhabitants retain the language and traditions of the people of the Iberian peninsula.
In its territory you can admire a hundred "nuraghi", typical Sardinian old buildings.
The economy of the town is based on lobster fishing, agriculture, tourism and artisans working with coral.
The entertainment venues in Alghero are various. In the day enjoy splendid sandy beaches, swim in the turquoise clear see and water sports.
In the evening dine in one of the many restaurants and bars of the old town, with its art catalan-gothic, churches, fortified walls, towers and aragon buildings. Shopping is also recommended in the charming small streets of the city.
