Accessibility

The superb private swimming pool is 14 metres long and 1.3 metres deep. There is a fine outdoor table just outside the kitchen and permanent BBQ.

Forti dei Marmi is a day out 47kms drive.

There is a golf course 20 minutes drive.

Skiing at Casone 20kms.
Special interest holidays
The area is well known for its excellent value cooking, using the best of local ingredients. A typical set lunch with 4 choices of pasta course, and 4 choices of main course costs only 9-10 Euros inclusive of bread, wine and coffee. It is possible to have a multi-course traditional Sunday lunch or dinner with ample wine, coffee and liquors for less than 25 Euros.
Garfagnana is the best area in Tuscany for walking. We have links with an outdoor activities company who offer guided walks and climbing, mountain biking, canoeing and world class gorge walking.
Local market town with good shops is only 20 minutes walk.
Travel
Pisa is the nearest airport. Bologna, Florence, Milan and Genoa also accessible. There is a train station only 3 kms away with links to Lucca, Florence and the coast.
Distances
Walled village of Cascio is 1km walk. Market town of Castelnuovo only 2kms. Tuscany is the most popular region of Italy, famous for its wonderful climate, landscape, and art treasures. The famous "art" cities of Florence, Sienna and Lucca are huge attractions, whilst the culinary tradition is there to be savoured.
