The apartments are located in a private residence in Santa Maria di Castellabate, about half a mile (800 meters) from the seaside, with a panoramic view of the surrounding area. It is bordered by the Italian National Park of Cilento and near the seaside park of Punta Licosa. The apartments include a large living room with kitchenette, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. They are newly built, tastefully furnished and each has a large private terrace overlooking the sea, complete with umbrella, table, and lounge chairs. The apartments include air conditioning, satellite TV, outside showers and are located in a private residence with automatic gate, parking and a common picnic area furnished with tables, benches and a barbecue. You can also enjoy free Internet access and a large common swimming pool (16*7 meters). Let me add just one last thing: we live in one of the villas next to the apartment so any kind of problem you may experience… you will be just a few paces to its solution!

Notes on prices
Prices shown are for the property per week in Euros. The apartments are rented on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday - we have some flexibility with changeover day during low season, please email). The rent includes water, electricity and gas. There is a charge of 40 Euros for cleaning the apartment after checkout. You may request sheets and towels, with weekly change, at a cost of 9 Euros per person per week. An additional bed may be added, for which there is a 10% surcharge.
Changeover day
Apartments are rented on a weekly basis with change-over on Saturday. During low and mid-season we have some flexibility to modify changeover day, please e-mail for confirmation.

The apartment includes a living room with kitchenette, two bedrooms, a bathroom, air-conditioning and is about 60 m2 in size. It has a splendid view of the sea which cover 180 degree, from Punta Licosa to Punta Tresino, the two capes that enclose the bay of Castellabate. From the terrace you will enjoy beautiful sunset looking at the shape of Capri in the distance! |

Outside
The apartments share a large (16x7m) swimming pool that is located 120 stair steps from the villa, open from May 23rd to September 25th and common gardens with a play area for children, benches and a barbecue.
Coast/Beach
In Castellabate you will also enjoy a high quality sea that is internationally awarded, with a wonderful fragmented coasts as well as beautiful fine sand beaches with shallow waters ideal for kids. In 2010 Castellabate has been awarded once again the Blue Flag. The Blue Flag is an exclusive eco-label based on strict criteria dealing with water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management and safety and other services.
Special interest holidays
The Cilento National Park has been recognised by the UNESCO since 1998 as part of the World Heritage with the following justification: “The Cilento is an outstanding cultural landscape. The dramatic groups of sanctuaries and settlements along its three east–west mountain ridges vividly portray the area's historical evolution: it was a major route not only for trade, but also for cultural and political interaction during the prehistoric and medieval periods. The Cilento was also the boundary between the Greek colonies of Magna Graecia and the indigenous Etruscan and Lucanian peoples. The remains of two major cities from classical times, Paestum and Velia, are found there (…) as well as the impressive monastic property of the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula”.
Travel
The nearest airport is Naples (100 km), Rome is 350 km. The nearest railway station is Agropoli, some 14 km from Santa Maria di Castellabate.
Distances
Finally you have to know that in a one day trip from Castellabate you can enjoy well known places as Positano and the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Pompeii, Capri and Sorrento.

Guest comments
A real gem!
We could not have enjoyed our week there more. The apartment was very comfortable and satisfied all our needs. Each apartment has a terrace/balcony with panoramic views. We watched the sunset nearly every evening from our terrace with a glass of wine, and it really is a beautiful sight.
The grounds are simply stunning, with a large swimming pool surrounded by a gorgeous garden. The hosts were ever so helpful and friendly and I was really impressed with all the nice little touches: plenty good quality sunloungers around the pool, toys for kids, small playground, the type of things you have to pay for elsewhere!
The village centre and sea is a 15 minute walk down the hill (but walk back is uphill). Option to eat in some evening and even free cooking classes once a week! If you want to see Italian food being cooked I suggest you go to Dolores’ demonstrations! This really is a gem - I cannot recommend it enough and we really hope to return!
