Beside the sea in the Marine Park of Plemmirio Pini Sul Mare is a very comfortable house with original paintings and sculpture, two large terraces, one under the grape vines and one looking out to sea, ideal for outdoor dining and relaxation. Through the garden gate the water tempts for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving, or exploring the rocky pools refreshed daily by the sea. Ideally situated between the beautiful baroque towns of Siracuse / Ortigia and Noto.

Notes on accommodation
Almost constant sea breezes and ceiling fans make the house fresh and cool during the hottest weather.
In its own private grounds with ample parking and close proximity to the sea the house is ideal for children, cots or high chairs or a baby paddling pool can be provided on request.

Outside
Apart from the covered terrace there are three other terraces in the walled garden, a pine grove, a wild flower garden, olive and fig trees and palm trees. On the terrace beside the sea is a large Mexican table with director's chairs and umbrella. The property is gated and has a night security light
Coast/Beach
The beach is reached by going through the garden gate and there are sandy beaches nearby, in the little holiday town of Fontana Bianchi or nearby Isola where, during the summer months, there is a very pleasant ferry ride to Siracuse (fare 1 euro). A nice way to explore the ancient district of Ortigia where the ferry docks.
Travel
Plemmirio, where Pini Sul Mare is situated, is about a 45 minute drive from Catania Airport. A car is strongly recommended to enjoy this holiday fully.
Distances
Ortigia is a must for a visit, about 20 minutes drive away, a national heritage site of ancient narrow streets with its magnificent cathedral whilst half an hour away in the opposite direction is the baroque town of Noto, further on is Modica sitting breathtakingly on a hillside whilst 3 hours takes you to the Valley of the temples at Agrigento or Villa Dei Casalis with the famous 'bikini girl' mosaics.
Mount Etna is approx. 45 miles away.
Further details
There is one good shop (two in the summer) a very short drive away, a little pizza restaurant a good walk or short drive and then numerous restaurants and shops a little further away towards Siracuse. The famous fruit and fish market in Ortigia makes an enthusiastic chef of everyone.
