Casa Clara is a typical traditional Ligurian house that has a totally independent attic apartment on top of the owners own house. It has a large private terrace that is not overlooked which is perfect for lazy meals and sunbathing. The apartment consists of living room with dining area and fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The terrace is not shared and for exclusive use of guests. This property is close to Casa Stella IT3975 for friends or families wishing to holiday together.

Special last minute offer: Discount of €40 for holidays starting within 20 days of booking in May,September and October - €340 per week instead of €380.
Prices are for the property per week in euros. Discount can be given for stays longer than two weeks. We will also accept winter lets with central heating - please contact us for prices and details.
Changeover day
Changeover is normally on a Saturday but we are flexible on this especially in low season. Please contact us with your request.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is airy and cool and has mosquito covers fitted to windows. There is central heating for use in the low season if required - a supplement payable directly to the owners will be charged. The living room has French windows directly out onto the roof terrace where there are sunloungers, table and chairs and BBQ. We kindly ask that you do not smoke in the house itself.
Accessibility
This family property is suitable for children but has a steep flight of steps up to the main door and terrace. Inside the apartment is all on one level but access is not possible for wheelchairs or the disabled. Parking is in the village just below the property.

Large private terrace with sun loungers, table and chairs, sun umbrella and BBQ also small unfurnished garden area.
Coast/Beach
Beaches in Imperia are 12kms away and can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. There are both public and private beaches where sunbeds, umbrella and changing cabins can be rented by the day or week. Most beaches also have bar, cafe and toilet facilities. All towns and villages up and down the coast have beaches - some sand, some pebble.
Golf
Golf is available either at Galendra, near Savona, Sanremo or Castellaro - each about 30 mins away by car.
Skiing
Sking available in Ligurian Alps at Limone.
Travel
There are two convenient airports to choose from - Nice/France or Genoa/Italy, served by a wide range of airlines including BA, Easyjet, Ryanair and BMI. National carriers from other EEC countries fly into Nice. Imperia is easily reached from either airport by direct motorway and takes approximately one hour from Nice and one and a quarter hours from Genoa. There is also a train service from both towns - details can be provided on request. Full driving instructions will be given.

There is a shop in the village for fresh bread and basic groceries - they are open from 7am. A wide range of restaurants, pizzerias and bars is available in the surrounding villages but not Pantasina itself. An extensive selection for every taste and pocket is available in Imperia. Daily and weekly markets are held in all local towns selling clothes, fish, cheeses and fruit and veg and there are large supermarkets in Imperia and many specialist shops for local products and olive oils.There are two olive mills in Pantasina that sell olive oil and lavender products. The closest bank is in Dolcedo but there are many in Imperia.
The area offers a wide range of activities and pastimes including horse riding, mountain biking, scuba diving, whale watching trips, boat excursions, the olive oil and pasta museums and famous villas and gardens to visit. There are a wealth of interesting towns and villages in the surounding area; Sanremo has extensive shopping and the Casino, Nice has a wide range of shops, galleries, museums and the old port and market. Genoa is a fascinating city with a world famous aquarium, redeveloped port area and museums. The exclusive resort of Portofino is close to Genoa and Monaco is within very easy driving distance for a day of shopping and watching the super rich at play on their yachts.

Booking notes
Please contact us to confirm that the dates you are interested are available. We then ask that you pay a deposit of 50% of the rental price - the balance being payable 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. For lets of one week only the entire amount is payable at the time of booking. We will provide you with a booking form which must be filled out and signed prior to the owners accepting your booking. Winter lets with central heating are available - please contact for prices and details.
Owner profile
About the owner
Sandro and Clara have lived in this house for many years with their two sons. They are both local people and are very involved with all village activities especially the Chestnut festival in early October. Their self contained apartment is designed to give their guests the maximum of privacy but they are always on hand for help, advice or local information. They speak Italian, French and a little German. Their next door neighbour Jenni who lives in property ref IT3975 is very happy to help guests in English. She is also the contact person who will be handling all their bookings.

This has been our family home for many years where we have brought up our two sons. Our families are local people and have been involved in the olive growing for decades. Pantasina offers the perfect balance of peace and tranquility but with easy access to the coast, beaches and a range of larger interesting towns. The village is safe and friendly and a delight for those who like walking, cycling and living in a natural unspoilt environment. We look forward to welcoming you to Casa Clara.
