In the middle of Cixerri River Valley, this charming house is a little jewel of biological architecture. It is an historical palace of XIXth century, recently completely restored. The house lies in the historical centre of a nice village, 10 metres far from the main square of Villamassargia, Piazza Pilar (the real beating heart of the village). The house is independent and it has got air-conditioning. The country is rich in Mediterranean plants and overall of olive threes. Here nature is generous and there is the opportunity of tasting a big variety of organic food: olive oil, honey, milk and cheese. The first economical activity in Villamassargia is textile small industry thanks to a very old tradition. From the house you can have a view on the sweet mountains of Cixerri River Valley and get to the seaside in less than 15 minutes by car/motorbike.

Coast/Beach
From our Bed & Breakfast you can reach the most beautiful beaches of South Sardinia: it’s a marvellous experience to find rocky and sandy coasts with no buildings all around and that are still not even discovered. From Villamassargia it takes you less then 15 mins by car or motorbike to get there. A splendid coastline, characterised by long expanses of fine, golden sand, but also by sheer cliffs dropping down to the blue sea: this is what nature can offer you in South West Sardinia.

Car/ motorbike recommended.
How to arrive: from Cagliari follow SS130. After 44km turn right when you see the sign 'Carbonia-Domusnovas–Villamassargia'. Then follow road signs only to Villamassargia. When you arrive in town, follow Via Roma (Roma Street) and turn left at the 2nd crossroads after the post office.

About the owner
I live in Southern Sardinia since I was a child and I work as a journalist for the main Sardinian newspaper. I travelled a lot for studying in the past but I always came back because I really love my land. I spend my free time as a volunteer for ecological projects, as I really care about the planet and believe that we can still save it, taking care of it in our everyday life!

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
Originally it was my grandmother's home. So I actually did not buy it: it still belongs to my family. I love this area and the village as here time has stopped: we live with no traffic, no stress, no crowds anywhere! In town you can forget the car and walk to the baker's, to the shops, bank, etc. You will discover a new life-dimension! It's also amazing how an area can have such an easy access from Cagliari, Alghero or Olbia, to the most beautiful beaches of Southern Sardinia and still preserve itself from crowds.

The first highpoint of our property is that it is an authentic typical Sardinian home, restored with original material and ecological techniques. We combined our history with new technologies, because we always want to improve our hospitality offer. We like spending time with our guests for giving them tourist information, tips and advices, or any time they need.
