This Historic Hamlet is a most significant example of Medieval Castle in the Spoleto County (X to XV century), listed by the Italian Ministry of Arts and Cultural Heritage. It is ideally located for visiting art towns as Bevagna, Montefalco, Assisi, Todi, the wild Valnerina. Rome is at 1 h and 10' train only. People living in the village have been there for generations. For the owners, Diana and Alberto, it is more than their home a love affair. They personally cared for the restoration of the buildings preserving its original characteristics and atmosphere. Antique and crafted furniture, linen sheets and curtains from Montefalco looms, art ceramics from Deruta, family paintings, are blended. The Hamlet is consisting of a few large Apartments, 1 Villa and 1 Tower, the owner’s Home and a wide Garden with Pool overlooking the Valley and the sunset. Pool towels provided. The hamlet can be rented in full, and can host up to 20 people. Welcome breakfast basket provided on arrival.

The Suite Apartment Loggiato is located at the 1st floor and takes the name from the XV Century Loggia (Open Gallery) on the front of the House. The Suite Apartment Loggiato( 75 sqm) has 2 entrance ( one private) and Guests of this Apartment have the private access and use of the Loggia that is panoramic on the valley and sunset. Romantic, comfortable and charming it is the ideal accommodation for Couples who love privacy. The second bedroom is located in the loft above the living and can host 2 more peple. The bathroom , has Amalfi painted tiles and shower. The kitchen is full equipped, with 4 stove, fridge and microwave and a table for 4. A table is into the Loggia to dine "al fresco" or to enjoi a glass of good wine at the sunset. Washing machine is available in a separate laundry area.

Archi is a very beautiful suite apartment of 55 sqm with stone vaults on the front side of the Historic House with a direct access to the garden. The Terrace is shaded by a centennial Fig tree and equipped with table and chairs for having lunch or dinner outside overlooking the valley and the sunset.
It is composed of 1 bedroom with a large matrimonial bed, a spacious living with 2 comfortable sofas and a table with seats for 4. TV and Wifi internet.
The kitchen is equipped with 4 ring stove, fridge and microwave, toaster and all you need for cooking and serving

The Tower is the most ancient portion of the House, a XI Century military tower. It has an independent entrance, 120 m² in total plus the roof terrace equipped with a wide Sun umbrella and table and chair. Ideal accommodation for a family of 4 or 5 persons, or two couples who like to save their privacy though sharing one only independent house. It is in fact divided into two separate but communicating apartments. 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower, 2 living spaces. The tower has a fireplace in the living at first floor and a roof terrace in the living at second floor The kitchen is equipped with 4 ring stove, fridge and microwave and a table for 6 persons. A rich welcome breakfast basket with homemade and biological products is provided on arrival. Can host 4 or 5 persons. The prices shown are for 4 persons. The House of Ulysses is a Lovely 130 m² comfortable Villa with independent entrance and wide panoramic terrace overlooking the valley and the sunset. Accurately furnished and decorated.
2 bedrooms, one with a Large double bed, the second with twin beds, luxury living room with 'cotto' fireplace and a panoramic Loggia where the dining room is located. In the dining room there is a table for 6.
Lovely and fully equipped kitchen ,with view. 5 ring stove, electrical hoven, dishwasher, fridge.
2 bathrooms with window, one with shower, one with bath tub and shower.
The private Wine cellar of the Villa can be made available with a selection of D.O.C. Italian wines, upon request.

Notes on accommodation
A rich welcome breakfast basket is provided on arrival. All the apartments, villa and tower are refurbished with high level of comfort. The pools is shared.

Accessibility
The Historical Hamlet has many stairs it means is not suitable for very elderly people or infirm or children under 5 years old. Children are under the supervision of the parents.

Outside
The garden is of 5000 sqm and has a 70 variety of roses, with olive and oaks trees.
The Pool (6x12) is located in the middle of the garden with view on the valley and the sunset. The pool is equipped with sun umbrellas an sunbeds. The Pool is for Guest only, shared.
There is a shaded pergola with chairs and some different levels of equipped and shaded terraces.

Adriatic Coast is at 100km driving. The Trasimeno lake is at 60km driving. Marmore Waterfall at 34km driving.

Nearest Airport is Perugia 55km with flight from London, Prague, Monaco, Barcellona and Milan. Ancona Airport at 169km. Rome Airports at 180km.
Train Station in Spoleto 10km. Car necessary.

About the owner
I, Alberto, was born in Milano, Diana was born in Napoli, a good blend of italian flavours, North and South together. The both of us were Managers in Multinational Companies in Operations and Purchasing myself , and Commercial and Marketing Diana, before starting this new life in hospitality. I love to talk about economics and I am passionate of Sudoku. I am the gardener and the House "factotum", Diana who is graduate in Italian Letterature, is a fantastic chef and an heavy reader. Our House are full of book in italian, english and different languages. Some are a kind present from our past Guests. We love people and good companies, we love good food and good wine. Both of us are Sommelier. We own and rent le Logge di Silvignano Historic House in Spoleto and an cozy Apartment in Roma.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We were successful but stressed manager when we decided to have a holiday house in the Umbria Countryside. Umbria is a wonderful Region very close to Rome, where we were based at that time. We started our research around Spoleto when by chance we found this property and we fell in love with it; 12 families owned the different pieces of the property at that time! It took us a few years for negotiations and over 10 years in restoration. Now we have the pleasure and the privilege to share it with our Guests, persons who love to stay in historical buildings and love art and nature.

Unique benefits of the property
Lliving in an Historical Building of the XI to XV Century is a unique experience, we believe. The village of Silvignano is a very alive place, thanks to the very genuine people who live here. A few people from foreign countries also are now living in the village; originally were guests, than they fell in love with it and now are good friends and neighbors. The House is located in an amazingly panoramic spot with view toward the valley and the sunset, and a strategic position ideal for visiting the Umbria Region, very close to Tuscany and less than 1h 30' from Roma.
