It also has easy access to mountain recreation facilities (walking, hiking, biking and 3 ski resorts, wildlife watching). Two Termes (Spa) are within 90 mins drive.

Prices are for the property per week are inclusive of linens/towels. However, longer term lettings will be considered.
Changeover day
Saturday generally but this is flexible.

| Bathrooms: | Two bathrooms - main bathroom with bath, wash hand basin, bidet and toilet. 2nd bathroom with shower, wash hand basin, bidet and toilet. The washing machine is also in this bathroom. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen area is fully equipped with a gas hob, full size electric oven, fridge/freezer, electric kettle, toaster and all cooking and dining utensils. |
| Utility Room: | There is no separate utility room. The washing machine and housekeeping needs are in the 2nd bathroom. The iron and ironing board are in the main bedroom. |
| Living Rooms: | The living/dining area has a dining table, dining chairs with a sofa (convertible to double sofa bed), standard/reading lamps, a coffee table, satellite TV and DVD player. |

Bedlinen and towels are included in the price. Extra towels and linen can be provided at an extra cost. The apartment is cleaned between lettings. If extra cleaning is desired during a letting period it can be arranged for and paid locally. |

Notes on accommodation
The appartment is on the second floor with two balconies - at the front looking out over the neighbouring properties towards the sea and the back balcony faces the mountains in the background. Back balcony receives morning/afternoon sun while the front balcony receives the afternoon/evening sun.
Access is by way of internal stairs leading to a wide landing or by way of a lift/elevator. There is car parking facilities on the property.

The apartment is on the second floor accessible by the the stairs or lift/elevator.
Outside
The apartment block is in a gated site with a swimming pool, gardens and parking area.
Coast/Beach
There are two local beaches within 10 minutes walk. while there are numerous other beaches along the coast - the most prominent is Tropea about 20 minutes by train.
Beaches on the east coast are also within easy reach at Catanzaro - 90mins by car.

Feudo Montalto Golf Club. This 9 hole course is in in Limbadi, a small town near Capo Vaticano and Tropea, the best known seasides of Calabria.
Skiing
There are three ski resorts withing 2 hours in the very picturesque, unspoiled and environmentally protected area of the Sila National Park. It has an impressive 397m (1302 feet) of vertical descent. It has 4 pistes, cross country trails and a sledging area built around the summit of Monte Curcio which rises to 1788m. The two main down hills run for 2km and 2.4km respectively and are mostly suitable for beginners and intermediates, also suitable for snowboarding.
Lorica has a summit of 1928m, 2 lifts, 3 pistes and a vertical drop of over 500m, It also has cross country trials and is situated in Sila, as above. The slopes here are situated in Hell Valley and these are used for the Italian national skiing cup.
Travel
Airports at Lamezia Terme 45 mins. Naples 4 hours. Catania in Sicily 3 hours. Rome 6 hours.
Railway - Vibo Marina station is 5 mins walk with local services north to Lamezia Terme for mainline connections north(Naples/Rome) or south (Sicily). Pizzo and Tropea are within 10/20 mins by train or by bus. The main west coast railway station at Vibo Valentia/Pizzo (15 mins car) has regular intercity connections to/from Naples/Rome and Regio Calabria and Sicily. A car is useful but not essential.

Outdoor Activities - Walking, hiking, climbing, canoeing, horse riding, mountain biking, bird watching can be enjoyed locally or in the Sila, Pollina and Aspromonte National Parks which are all within easy reach.
Sila about 90mins. Pollina about 90 mins. Aspromonte about 30 (This Park has numerous species such as the Wolf, the Peregrine, the Eagle Owl, and the Goshawk, and the rare Bonbelli eagle and tropical fern Woodwardia radicans are to be found in the park).
Pilgrimage/Contemplation - Sanctuary of St Francis of Paola (45mins) in the hills overlooking Paola.
