The Farmhouse
|
|
Pischiano is a former small farm, consisting of a large traditional Tuscan farmhouse, a small old farmhouse called Anna's House and a converted traditional Barn set in its own fields and woods, in a delightful setting on the slopes of the Alpe della Luna; the Mountains of the Moon, just above Sansepolcro in the upper Tiber Valley in eastern Tuscany. It is situated above a stream, surrounded by meadows and overlooks the beautiful Afra valley with views across wooded hills. We have carefully and simply restored and furnished the houses in order to retain their original character while providing comfortable accommodation all year round. The Farmhouse and Anna's House are attached to each other (with a lockable interconnecting door), while the Barn is set apart on a lower level directly overlooking the pool. Each has its own terrace or pergola. Pischiano has an extensive area of meadow and woodland for use by guests. Catered breaks are now available in late Spring and Autumn.

Guest comments
"Pischiano exceeded our expectations in fact..such an inspirational house and setting."
“Had a lovely peaceful time, wonderful location and lovely farmhouse. Thanks”
"The road up to Pischiano proved to be a nightly wildlife spotting expedition, we saw a wild boar, 2 porcupines, several deer, badgers and something that we haven't put a name to yet but might have been a pine marten. The walk to the monastery was fantastic-and of course the kids loved the pool !
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday!"
"It's the kind of place that you think no longer exists. The kind that, when you think about it, in that spare moment of the day to day grind, makes you smile. This place can only create happy memories."
"OK, so it's a bit corny but Pischiano has that effect on me."
