"The holiday was wonderful and the house lovely"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The house was lovely. The village was great with really friendly locals. The boys loved playing in the square with other lovely children"
"we took a copy of Dennis's drawing: it's nice because it's less formal and more 'friendly' than a photo"
Owner profile
About the owner
We are Mrs Pat and Mr Dennis Palmer. Dennis is disabled and uses a wheelchair.
We find the climate in the village is beneficial for his condition and he comes back to life (within reason!) every time we go to the house.
Pat is still working full time so cannot wait to get to the house as often as possible.
Year purchased: 2003
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We have owned this house since April 2003, so we have got to know most of the residents in the village of whom most have become very good friends.
We love the village as much now as when we first went there.
The scenery is very beautiful and the villagers have become accustomed to seeing Dennis (in his wheelchair) around drawing various buildings and scenes. They always insist on looking at his pictures and call him "a true artist" (not sure I always agree!!)
The villagers have always been very helpful and accomodating to Dennis's disability (uses a wheelchair).
We can never wait to get back to the village as often as possible and I get withdrawal symptome if I have been away for too long.
Unique benefits of the property
There is a restaurant half way down the mountain access road to the village which we use as often as possible as they do very good food and the scenery is magnificent.
