The villa is in a area renowned for its unspoilt beauty and is situated just outside the Gran Sasso National Park. The National Park is a haven for wildlife. The area caters for all, the sun-seeker, the walker, the mountain biker, the horse rider and golfer during the summer months, and in the winter the skiers and snowboarders.

Changeover day
Changeover day for 2012 is Sunday but can be flexible. Arrival time is 16.00 hours, departure time is 10.00am. This can be flexible depending on other guests.

Notes on accommodation
The property has gas underfloor heating. There is also a wood burning stove for use during the winter months. There are ceiling fans for use in the summer months. Each bedroom and the kitchen area have roller blind fly screens.
Accessibility
Unfortunately the property is not suitable for the physically handicapped.
Outside
The villa is a renovated farmhouse sitting in over a hectare of private land. Outside the property is a large front patio, ideal for summer dining. To the rear of the property is a large patio area which accommodates the swimming pool from May to September. It is an above ground pool measuring 24' x 12'. Additionally at the rear of the property is a smaller patio area with table and chairs from which to enjoy the pool and views.
Coast/Beach
It is approximately a 35 minute drive to access the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic Coast.
Skiing
Cross country skiing is available just 20 minutes from the property in the area known as the Voltignio. 40 mins from the property is the ski resort of Passo Lanciano, which is suitable for skiers and snowboarders.
Travel
The nearest airport is Pescara and it is essential to hire a car to access the property.
Distances
The town of Penne is approximately 3km from the property and Montebello di Bertona is approximately 5km. The plateau of the Gran Sasso mountain range is 40km away through breath taking scenery and gorgeous beech forest. The beaches are 35km from the villa and are some of the cleanest in Europe.
Booking notes
A refundable damages deposit of £250 is required.
A deposit of £250 per week deposit is required to secure the booking with the balance due six weeks before the departure date.

We loved your beautiful house. The weather was kind, hot, some breezes and the sun shone down. The odd shower greened the valley. Venturing, in our intrepid way, the wonderful mountains. Campo Imperatore, the roof of the world (or so it seemed), Castelli with its lovely pottery. And oh, the views!...
