Residence 'Corte Campedella' is a beautiful prestigious gated complex located amongst the vineyards in Bande, Cavriana, on one of the 10 food and wine roads of Lombardy: 'La Strada dei Vini e Sapori Mantovani' and hence a paradise for lovers of Italian food and wine. The condominium consists of 12 privately owned apartments in the peaceful Morainic hills just a 15 minute drive from Sirmione or Desenzano, on the southern shore of Lake Garda. The building was owned by the Gonzaga family from 13th-18th centuries. The apartment is located on the battlefields of the 1859 Battle of Solferino as a result of which, the International Red Cross was formed. This recently renovated spacious, self-catering, apartment 120sqm, is on the 1st/2nd floor and is in an ideal location for family holidays as it is situated in private grounds accessed by an electronic security gate. Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Saturday, but there is flexibility outside of the high season. Arrival time is after 3pm. Departure time is before 10am.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 overlooks the Morainic hills and has a king size bed. (There is a steep spiral staircase to a private galleried mezzanine area which is for use only by the owner and not tenants).
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds + fold down camp bed (for child)
Bathrooms: En-suite shower rooms to bedroom 1 and 2 with shower, wash hand basin, wc and bidet.
Kitchen: Well furnished kitchen with eye-level electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, iron & board, free standing clothes dryer, toaster, kettle, tea towels and all necessary cutlery and cooking utensils.
Living Rooms: There is a TV with decoder, TV unit, DVD/CD player, CD/cassette recorder, 2 coffee tables, one 3 seater sofa, a 2 seater sofa and an armchair.
Other: The large dining table seats 6 comfortably + high chair.
All windows have wooden shutters and all rooms have wooden beamed ceilings. Insect nets are fitted to all windows.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Bath towels, hand towels, flannels and bedlinen are all provided in the rental and are changed every Saturday for stays of longer than a week. This is included in the rental price. The apartment is cleaned and prepared for your arrival.

Notes on accommodation
Ideal holiday location for families as the residence is entered via an electronic security gate. Smoking not permitted. Pets not allowed. A private covered parking space is provided for the apartment.

Accessibility
Entry to the apartment is via stairs and is therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.

Outside
The communal garden is well stocked with flowers, shrubs and trees. A gazebo and chairs are located next to the swimming pool. The pool is open from mid-May to the end of September (weather permitting). Sun loungers are available for guests' use in the summer months. 2 additional fold away garden chairs are available in the lounge area.

Coast/Beach
15 minute drive to Sirmione or Desenzano (Southern shore of Lake Garda). Bicycles are available for rental on the lakeside.

Golf
Chervo Golf San Vigilio at Pozzolengo is a 5 minute drive away. Designed by the German architect Kurt Rossknecht who, after his numerous projects in Europe and South Africa, took on the challenge of constructing his first golf course in Italy, making the best possible use of the natural and historical wealth of the Abbey of San Vigilio. Having an expanse of 110 acres to work with, Rossknecht developed a 27 hole executive course with another 9 holes, creating a circuit that perfectly interprets the original characteristics of the plot. With a maximum extension of 6775 metres from the "Gold Championship tees and 5070 meters from the" Ladies' tees, with another three intermediate teeing areas, the course is capable of offering a tough challenge for more experienced players, yet a thoroughly enjoyable circuit for beginners.

Skiing
Ski slopes are within easy reach of the apartment if you have the use of a car. The closest ski slopes (blue and red pistes) are available at Monte Baldo, Malcesine (1 hour by car).
Madonna di Campiglio, a world class ski resort with some of Italy's finest skiing, is located in the heart of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, at a height of 1,550 metres and is 2 hours 45 minutes by car. Moena and Predazzo, also in the Dolomites, are a 2.5 hour drive from the apartment.

Travel
A car is essential. Only a 10 minute drive from the Sirmione exit of the A4 motorway. Easily accessible from a number of airports: Verona (Valerio Catullo) 30 mins drive. Milan (Bergamo) Orio Al Serio 55 minute drive. Nearest train station is Desenzano (20 mins drive).

Distances
Sirmione on Lake Garda is a 15 min drive away.

Further details
The local church and pizzeria in Bande are a 5 minute walk from the apartments. You can visit, by foot, local vineyards which offer wine tasting. To entertain the children there are plenty of days out to choose from. Gardaland, Italy's largest and most famous theme park suitable for all the family. Caneva World, 2 Theme Parks in 1: a Marine Theme Park and Water Park. You can also visit Parco Natura Viva, a Wildlife Park in Pastrengo.
Verona is only 30 minutes away by car. Verona 2012 Opera Season 22nd June -1st September 2012. Venice is a 1.5 hour drive away - Venice carnival 11th Feb 2012 - 21st February 2012.

Booking notes
All booking enquiries by e-mail please, quoting Owners Direct. 20% deposit required when booking to secure the apartment - this is non refundable in the event of cancellation or change of date. The full balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. If a booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival, the full amount is payable. A breakage/security deposit of £150 is payable with final payment at least 8 weeks before arrival.
