Ideal location for exploring this unspoilt part of Northern Tuscany. The house is part of the old borgo of Santa Maria Del Giudice, situated between Pisa and Lucca. With its own private jasmin covered terrace, original chestnut beams, it has lots of charm and character. All rooms have terracotta floors and radiators.In a working village setting but so near to museums,theatres and beautiful churches, it is a perfect base to visit Florence, Siena and The Cinque Terre. Only 30 mins to beautiful sandy beaches.

Changeover day
Flexible arrival day to suit as we know that cheaper flight options are mid week. Normal arrival time between 4pm and 7 pm when there are departing guests. Departure before 10.30am.

Microwave, fridge, hob, toaster,electric kettle, large marble sink. Plenty of crockery and cooking equpment. |

Kitchen/diner with table and chairs for 3. Sitting room, small but cosy with beams. Sofa bed, (if not used as a bedroom, then the bed is covered with lots of cushions) 2 other chairs. Lots of books and games. CD/Radio player, please bring your own CDs. |

Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: |
All linen, towels and kitchen linen are changed weekly and are included in the price. Weekly or final cleaning is included in the price. Please bring beach towels. It is possible for extra cleaning and change of linen and towels at an extra charge. |
Notes on accommodation
Heating when necessary is included in the price.Floor fans for the summer months, but there are pleasant breezes from the hills. Due to steep steps and open tread stairs, the property is not suitable for children under 8 yrs.

Outside
Small table and 3 chairs for al-fresco eating. Also deck-chairs and a clothes dryer are stored in a side shed.
There is no BBQ, but clients are welcome to buy throw away types from the supermarket.
Coast/Beach
The Versilian Coast stretching from the seaport of Viareggio to the luxury resort of Forte De Marmi is 30-40 minutes drive away. The closest public beach (not paying) is at Marina Di Vecchiana 30 mins drive near Pisa. All beaches are sandy with deckchairs and umbrellas for hire.
Golf
Golf course at Forte De Marmi, approx 40 mins drive away. 18-hole golf course at Montecatini, approx 40 mins drive.
Skiing
Abetone Ski Resort is 1½ hour drive from the apartment. Please enquire if you wish to come in the winter months.
Special interest holidays
Horse Trekking can be arranged locally.Cookery courses can be arranged locally in groups by local qualified English speaking cooks. Italian lessons can be arranged privately with a qualified teacher or information on an excellent school.

Pisa International Airport is 30 minutes drive away.
Low cost direct flights from UK, New York, Norway, Nederlands and Germany.
All major car hire firms are based at Pisa Airport. Lucca also has pick up and drive car firms.
Hourly bus service to Lucca and Pisa from the village.
Nearest train station is at Lucca.
Advisable to have a car to fully enjoy the local countryside.

Tennis courts are in Lucca and nearby Pontetto.
Bikes can be hired on a daily basis in Lucca.
