On the border between Lunigiana and Garfagnana, the northern yet-unspoiled corner of Tuscany. Among medieval castles, breathtaking views across terraced olive groves and vineyards to dramatic mountains, in Turlago time and space follow the rhythm and lines of nature. We are 10 minutes drive up from the village of Fivizzano, away from tourist trail, nevertheless with easy access to the Ligurian coast of the Cinque Terre, historical cities of Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Genoa and Parma, the trails across the National Parks of Alpi Apuane and Appennino Tosco-Emiliano with its ski resorts. A spacious apartment has just been renovated keeping the original tufa rock bricks; it can accommodate up to 4 people and has an independent entrance, living room with glass doors overlooking the garden (and the daily, beautiful sunset), fitted kitchen, one double bedroom, bathroom with shower and bidet. Outside area is furnished with table, chairs and loungers.

Changeover day
Between 3 April and 11 September 2010 minimum rental period is seven days, preferably Saturday to Saturday, arrival after 4 pm, departure by 10 am, although we try to accommodate individual travel plans and schedules.

30 min drive from ski resort of Cerreto Laghi with 25km of slopes (2 FISI black tracks), cross-country skiing routes, paths for Nordic Walking and snow rackets tours. Ski lessons for adults and children are available. An indoor ice rink is open to the public at weekends.

10 minutes drive from the small medieval town of Fivizzano with banks, post office, chemist, hospital, selection of bars, restaurants, supermarket and a weekly market.
