Outside
Beautiful extensive garden with two separate large patios where you can enjoy alfresco breakfast.
The patio area is complete with table and chairs also sun loungers.
The gardens are surrounded with olive groves, fruits trees, and my special sicilian lemon tree.
The garden to the north is surrounded by the mountains, to the south is by the coast.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach 'Guidaloca' is 3 minutes by car, it's a pebble beach, there you will find a well equipped facilities and it's nice to do snorkeling by the coast. Scopello beach, just 5 minutes by car, is famous for the tonnara, the natural caves and Fraglioni. The Natural Reserve of lo Zingaro, only 8 minutes by car, with its seven miles of coastline and its steep cliffs plunging sheer into the sea from heights of up to the three thousand feet. La Playa is a sand beach, by car 10 mins.

Travel
Trapani Birgi airport, 40 mins by car (Ryanair offer flights direct from Dublin, London, Paris, Barcellona, Madrid, Cracow, Stoccolma, Oslo, Dussendorf). Palermo Falcone and Borsellino airport, 30 mins by car.
Distances
The nearest village Scopello is 8 mins. by car. There you will find several good, typical Sicilian restaurant, pizzeria, pub and boutique's also ceramics shops. Castellammare del golfo, 5 mins by car, a historical town with many local restaurant surrounding the romantic little port with Arabic castle.
Segesta 20 mins. by car, with the Doric Temple and Greek Amphitheatre. In the summer evenings the artist perform Greek and Latin plays (tragedies). Erice, 30 mins. by car, is a medieval town.
Further details
In Castellammare you will find many shops ie supermarkets, chemists, banks, post office, local shops selling local produce also many fish shops. From the port there is a boat trip along the coast to San Vito Lo Capo, famous for the Caribbean beach. The Natural reserve of Zingaro enchants the walker with its stark beauty and the intensity of its colors in every season. Lo Zingaro reserve is a reflection of the ancient fellowship between man and earth. In Scopello village you can find a scuba diving center and you can do also your first diving experience (battesimo del mare) with instructor, equipment included. Segesta is famous also for its sulphurous and curative baths and natural river where you can bathe.
Selinunte, 45 mins. by car a very important Greek site with temples and acropolis. The medieval town Erice,the temple of the Goddess of love (Venus), famous in antiquity for its shrine atop the mountain to which sailors turned. We can organize on request:wine tasting, excursion to the most beautiful historical site and transfer from/to airport.

We received a very friendly, warm greeting from Patrizia and her delightful mamma - Dina. Patrizia speaks excellent English and was full of local information and suggestions about places and sights to see. The breakfasts were lovely. Typically Italian, with bread, croissants, jams, etc.. and bowls of fruit freshly picked from Patrizia's orchard; peaches, apricots and beautiful figs. Mr & Mrs Doble from London
We, two 25 year old travelers from the Netherlands, have stayed in Uliveto three nights and have enjoyed it very much. The location of the guest house is excellent, located near the beautiful small village Scopello, the larger marine city Castellammare del Golfo and the stunningly beautiful beaches of the parc Zingaro.The guest house is very clean, quiet and real Italian. Breakfast is served outside in the garden and complemented with a real strong Italian coffee. One night we had also the optional meal, which turned out to be a real home made Sicilian 5 course menu.July2010
