Rich in rustic Tuscan appeal and yet offering all modern comforts. The villa is in a very good position to discover Tuscany and to choose every day a different destination...the nearby famous Villas, Lucca, Florence, Siena and S.Gimignano, Pisa and the coast. The Villa is in a very quite position where you can relax and just very close to anything you will need to spend an unforgettable week in Toscana! In the area there are lovely trattorias where you can discover also our well known Cucina and Vino Toscano!

Notes on accommodation
The House has typical and restored terracotta floors and chestnut beamed ceilings, with charming antique furnishings and comfortable beds, all new plumbing, electrical systems and new appliances, including a laundry. The Villa has heating and a fireplace and a lovely loft conversion with a one big large wooden sofa which can be transformed into two comfortable beds!

There is a lovely panoramic Patio with table and chairs, where one can relax and which enables you to dine outside also a small pool with fresh natural spring water 2 mt x 1 mt is perfect to refresh your little kids in our hot summers!!! (0.65 cm deep).

30 minutes drive to Versilia beaches.
It is 1 Hour scenic drive to the splendid Cinque Terre
Golf
In a half an hour driving, it is possible to reach two golf clubs close to the seaside Tirrenia and Versilia (18 holes)
Less than one hour driving to Montecatini Golf Club.
Skiing
40 minutes driving to Abetone ski area.

Travel
Pisa and the sea-side beaches of Viareggio (30 minutes). Montecatini, the famous spa town (30 minutes). Siena and S.Gimignano (1 hour and 30 minutes). You can drive your car to the Lucca train station and from there, it is a pleasant hour by train to the Florence station in the center of town, thereby avoiding traffic and parking problems.
Distances
Close to "La Celata" there is a typical grocery/trattoria. there you can buy fresh typical cheese, genuine, home made salami and bread and everything you need to cook at home. About 1 kilometer down the hill has all services such as a pharmacy. Big Supermaket at 3 km
There are several small lovely restaurants among the nearby vineyards for a relaxing dinner after a day's travels.

Always 15% discount for 2 weeks or more. Long rentals may be considered, please enquire. We charge € 50,00 for final cleaning for rental from 2 to 6 nights.
Payment Policy: a 20% deposit is required to hold a reservation. The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival. Detailed directions will be sent via email upon payment of the balance.
Cancellation Policy: a reservation cancelled more than 8 weeks before date of arrival, the deposit may be applied to a future reservation.

About the owner
I'm Silvia, a 36 years old mother of 3 little children. I live near Lucca and I've been working in tourism since 1999. We decided to buy and restore this stone house because we fell in love with Matraia, a lovely panoramic village at just 15 minutes from Lucca.
Year purchased: 2009
Why the owner chose a home in this location
It is a beautiful House with a typical beam ceiling and an ancient cotto floor and wooden floor. The Villa is nice and carefully furnished, it has comfortable beds and it is quiet and relaxing and there we produce a gorgeous Super Bio Olive Oil. Lucca is my home town and I love it!
