There is skiing in about 1 hour at Monte Amiata.
Special interest holidays
We have a cookery school in the castle, where we provide lessons on request and extra price. Our chef has a diploma from Paul Bocuse, France - and is specialized also in pastries.

RomaFiumicino Airport is about 120km - Roma Ciampino the same.
Civitavecchia channel port 80km.
Car hire - just immediately at the airport is the best.

About the owner
The owners name is Diego, he is tall and has a white beard.
His wife's name is Luciana his daughter's name Serena.
Diego has been lucky, to buy the medieval castle and cottages, set in acres of olive groves, in an unspoilt area of Lazio tucked between Umbria and Tuscany, in 1986, to use as his private home.
Cooking was always the favourite hobby of the whole family, so the Castle Santa Maria, became 5 years later a farm, open to the public.
Now there are 3500 olive trees, own oil mill, production of cold pressed olive oil.
Since 4 years there is a beautiful pool 18/7, with outstanding panoramic views.
Serena graduated at Lion France "Paul Bocuse" Culinary Art School, and opened a cookery school in the castle.
