The farmhouse is perfect to spend holidays with your family or in a group. You can choose a vacation in total privacy but at the same time, on request, you can have the services of a 'private' hotel with personal chef, cleaning ladies, cooking classes, baby sitter...and much more. The villa is surrounded by a private oak tree forest that produce many black truffles. The ancient Tuscan materials like wood, stone and terracotta give rise to a villa that combines modern comforts such as Satellite TV, free WIFI internet connection, private heated pool and the authentic taste of a rural Tuscan villa. In the panoramic garden there is a BBQ, a wooden oven and private park. Our family garden produces potatoes, tomatoes, courgette, beans, pepper and different fruits like apples, cherry, figs, walnuts. Fattoria La Vecchia Quercia is a farmhouse classified by Tuscany Region with three 'ears of wheat', the maximum attainable under the law.

Notes on accommodation
The villa, an old farmhouse from 18th century, has been recently restored. Central heating included in the rental price. One double bedroom with air air-conditioning included in the rental price.
Accessibility
We have one bedroom available for people with mobility problems. The double bedroom is in the ground floor and it has private entrance and bathroom en suite.
Outside
BBQ and old wood oven, where it is possible to prepare pizza. In front of the pool there is a gazebo, covered by jasmine flower, whit tables to eat outside even during the night. Pool size 12x6 m with Roman steps. In our garden there are many products: potatoes, tomatoes, courgette, beans, pepper and different fruits like apples, cherry, figs, walnuts. In front of the villa there is a truffle tree plantation. Since long time ago in our forest the oak trees produce many black truffles.
Golf
The property border on Golf Club Casentino, it takes 5 minutes walk.

Further details
Our heated pool will start on may 2011. It will be very usefull during the spring and autumn season. Our hot water heater works with firewood and solar panel, so it is completely sustainable energy. Central heating inside the villa is included in the rental price.
Booking notes
For booking is necessary to pay 30% of the whole rate by bank transfer. It's possible to balance the rate directly at the villa by credit card or cash. Caution at the arrival of 250 euros.
Guest comments
We had one of the best vacations ever. The villa was perfect, the views outstanding and the attention from the owners went way beyond our expectations. Our kids enjoyed a daily visit to their farm, they supplied us with delicious fresh produce from their farm each morning and even brought us fresh bread every morning from the local bakery. About the owner
Hi, my name is Francesca. I was born in Poppi. I studied communication and mass media in Urbino, London and Copenhagen. I worked as a journalist in Venice for 4 years. Then I decided to came back to Poppi to rent the villa, to work in our family farm and, at the same time, to write for art magazine. Gigi, my dad, and Novella, my mum, are the bosses of the farm. We decided to start with Agriturismo (to rent a villa in a farm) 3 years ago. Now we are very happy to do it, it's so exciting spending time with our guests. I live with Andrea, my husband, since 7 years.

My family bought the villa and the farm because we wanted to change our life, living in a quiet and green place and work on the farm.
Unique benefits of the property
I guess my Villa has the best view on the Valley, trust me! And the Golf course is very close, 5 minutes by foot. I'm sure that Poppi and Casentino Valley are really nice and in "Tuscany style", but less expensive and not so full of tourists like other place in the region.
