Two luxury villas that can be rented together or separately incorporating trulli cones with large private outdoor pool. Exclusive use of the property grounds and pool can be agreed when only renting one side, we are happy to guarantee this in off peak seasons. (Assumes the adjoining villa is free at the time of booking.) Please ask about this. Tastefully restored and furnished to a very high standard. Fantastic tranquil location with panoramic views across the countryside and is within a 10 minute drive of the historic towns of Alberobello and Martina Franca.

Note: pool/beach towels are not provided. Heating is chargeable and is based upon metered usage. Mid week bookings accepted out of main peak season. We only offer 1 villa (either one) for rent in the off peak season to ensure guests have privacy and exclusivity.
Changeover day
Mid week bookings welcome out of peak season. Main changeover day is Saturday. Departure by 10am and arrival after 4pm.

I Trulli (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/5)

The trullo offers interest and character with its' 3 trulli cones and alcoves in the main lounge area. A central open feature stone fireplace provides a focal point. Mood lighting, Hi Fi with Ipod connection, satellite TV, DVD player provide a range of entertainment in the day/evenings. There is a sofabed in this room if required. The lounge leads through to the dining room and kitchen. Similarly appointed in the beautiful stone, and again sharing the feature central fireplace, the dining room offers seating for 6. The kitchen is compact and extremely well equipped with dishwasher, gas hob, full size oven and large fridge and freezer. The two bedrooms are spacious and airy overlooking the pool and gardens. Both have good quality beds/matresses to ensure your comfort. The double room has a superking size bed, the second has two singles, both have large antique wardrobes and chests of drawers. Local artwork add to the atmospere in these rooms. x2 well appointed bathrooms. |

Notes on accommodation
Fans in all bedrooms and heating available in cooler months. Please note we operate a no smoking policy in both villas. The accommodation is cleverly designed and offers complete privacy from any neighbours next door. The stone walls are over a foot thick, therefore there is no noise risk to/from the adjoining villa. The trullo benefits from 2 entrances, which allows one to be sealed off, for complete privacy from next door or access should families be sharing across 2 villas. The large thick internal stone walls ensures complete privacy. External patios are separate and secluded from each other, facing opposite directions. Exclusive use of the grounds and pool can be agreed if only renting one side. Please ask. NB We only take bookings for one villa in the off peak seasons to encourage bookings and ensure private use.
Accessibility
There are no stairs to negotiate with this property thus making it ideal for elderly people. Disabled people have found this property to work well for them.
Outside
The fabulous 10m x 5m pool is a feature of the property that is set in an enclosed walled and landscaped area with stunning views across the Val D'Itria towards Martina Franca. The pool has been enclosed sympathetically to retain the character and views, but does provide a greater degree of security and safety for families with young children, with its stone walls and pretty iron fencing with lockable gate. The pool is equipped with its own sunbeds and benefits from a pergola prividing permanent shade. A real benefit of this property is the attention to detail we place on ensuring the pool is cleaned regularly throughout your stay to ensure your maximum enjoyment.
Each villa has its own private secluded patio with exclusive outdoor furniture and shaded eating area.
The pool is generally open from mid May until mid October, although this can vary with weather. Our prices reflect this. Table tennis table available for use in the games/utility area.
Coast/Beach
Beaches are 25 minutes away on the Adriatic Coast and a little further (approximately 40 minutes) are the Ionian beaches. Both coastlines are beautiful and ideal for safe bathing. We can recommend good beaches which offer bars, restaurants and toilets nearby.
Special interest holidays
The area around is is perfect for cycling, undulating countryside and minimal traffic. We have good contacts with an excellent bike hire company that will deliver bikes to you and can also provide cycle routes or even accompany you to explore the countryside. We provide walking routes for guests for the surrounding area.

Travel
Bari and Brindisi airports are conveniently located, both within an hour from the villa. (Direct from LGW/Stansted on BA/Ryanair) Naples is also a viable airport being within 3 hours on easy roads.(Direct from LHR/LGW/MAN on BA/BMI/Easyjet) Connections through Milan, Rome and Frankfurt to Bari also work well. Leeds Bradford to Rome with Jet 2 and then good connections for Rome to Bari with Blu Express. Car hire is essential.
Distances
Historic Alberobello with all the trullis is the nearest town approximately 10 minutes away. Martina Franca a beautiful baroque style city is approximately 15 minutes away. Other local towns and cities are Locorotondo (15 minutes) and Ostuni (30 minutes). Castellana Caves are within easy reach, the most spectacular caves in Italy and as such are well worth a visit.
Further details
There are plenty of local restaurants to explore in Alberobello and the surrounding cities that offer fantastic food at very reasonable prices. There is a good supermarket approximately 8 minutes from the house that stocks all you could need. Bike hire/tours are available from Alberobello.
Booking notes
Bookings can be made by contacting the owners and then can be secured and confirmed with a 30% non refundable deposit and the remaining 70% balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to the start of rental period.
A security deposit of £300 is required by personal cheque before commencing your holiday to cover any serious damage costs. This will be refunded shortly after your holiday taking into account any damage costs.

The property was stunning - really and absolutely. It was exceptionally comfortable - the mattresses especially - which is unusual for rental properties in our experience.
It was very well furnished - very much a home from home. We loved the personal touches with the CDs provided and the First Aid kit. The pool area felt fabulously luxurious and its surroundings were exceptionally clean (with the added bonus of fantastically unspoilt views). JN 2007.
