The Resort 'La Fogliarella' consists of three gleaming white and majestic Trulli - villas, which are jewels amidst the beautiful park with a large swimming pool. In this pristine landscape, we rent freestanding Trulli holiday houses, with 2 or 3 double bedrooms, 2 or 3 bathrooms. Private, internal parking for our guests. Facilities on the large private outdoor terrace (35 sq. meters): porch, gazebo, umbrellas, tables, seating, hammocks, rocking chairs and sun loungers, barbecue. In this oasis of calm (park with 25,000 square meters), ideal for relaxation, you can profit from the wellness - offers of the Cellamare family, which welcomes you in an intimate setting. The nearby area offers typical cuisine, beautiful beaches, interesting sights and many sports activities. Upon request, we also offer spacious rooms with 2 to 3 sleeps, with Bed and Breakfast service.

Changeover day
Arrival and departure times are more flexible during mid and low seasons (in reference to the normal one week stay). In high season we normally rent from Saturday to Saturdays only.

Notes on accommodation
We provide inside the apartment all the comforts, including heaters and all you need either for cooking or for sleeping and resting. The location is ideal for children as the house is far from busy streets. You will have your own space plus some other facilities such as barbecue areas, one next to the pool , one next to the main entrance. There is also a large roof garden with wood benches and tables , ideal for enjoying the sun set and sunbathing. The pool area is set on a terrific panoramic view overwhelming the olive orchard.
Accessibility
Even if we have no strict accessibility for wheel chairs, the building is just on the ground floor and the large park around with easy paths is suitable for elderly people.
Outside
Facilities on the large private outdoor terrace (20 sq.meters). Porch, gazebo, umbrellas, tables, seating, hammocks, rocking chairs and sun loungers. Access to spacious swimming pool, measuring 7 x 14 meters. Large, circular loans surround the pool area and even if we have a sharing pool, we cared to create so many shaded corners using pergolas, umbrellas, olive trees and gazebos. A lovely terrace is located just next to the pool with a barbecue in concrete and many seats, ideal for late summer dinners.
Coast/Beach
Apulia is an Italian region having 800 kilometres of coastline and it’s watered by 3 parts of the Mediterranean sea: Ionian sea, Adriatic sea, Tyrrhenian sea. Adriatic beaches are not far from us: Torre Canne, (25 minutes by car), Savelletri (35 minutes by car), Villanova (40 minutes by car). All of them on the coast which goes from Egnatia to Ostuni and where you can see the flag “onda blu” (blue wave), notifying that you are in front of one of the most unpolluted seas in Italy.
Golf
Not far from La Fogliarella (30 km or 19 miles) there is a charming golf course on the seaside that can be easily reached within half an hour by car. There is also a tennis court at 6 km or 4 miles distance and a horse riding centre, which is only at a distance of 10 km or 6 miles from us. All around us there are paths and little country roads just perfect for walking or cycling.
Special interest holidays
At La Fogliarella we do have cooking lessons especially based on recipes about homemade pasta and about preserving and storing fresh vegetables and fruits at home. We can also book for you interesting visits to the local olive oil and wine makers or we can suggest special wine shops available in the local area on the so-called 'road of wine and oil'.
Further details
If you are fond of archaeological sites, you may enjoy Egnantia (20 km from us). An interesting museum is placed in the centre of the ruins of a roman harbour which is one of the most important roman sites in Puglia. Than in Pascarosa a small village (6 km from us) you may admire the Trullo Sovrano a very ancient group of Trulli having surprisingly 2 floors just in one cone. Very rare rural architecture and similar to the one may visit in Alberobello the Capital of Trulli, too. A little bit farer in the city of Oria (…. Km from us) you may visit the Castle of Emperor Frederick the Second (Dominazione Normanna), example of his love for Apulia where he built many of them. In the Middle Ages they were as much as you can still count in the French Valley of Loire. Many producers of wine and olive oil in Locorotondo and Cisternino allow tourists to visit the plants where they show you all different steps of the making. And again you may enjoy the beauty of at least 5 apulian Masserie.

Tours: Grottaglie, the so called ceramics town where to buy beautiful hand made ceramics; Safari Park in Fasano; archeological site of the roman town of Egnathia; the wine makers in Locorotondo; Alberobello or the trulli Capital; suggestive caves of Castellana; the Baroque Art in Martina Franca and Lecce; the Dolmen 'Cromlech' in Montalbano;Taranto Museum with its antique Greek vases collection; Massafra and the caves where Greguro the Wizard used to live in ancient times.
