The farmhouse is situated in the mountain resort village of Corfino, with spectacular views from the house and large pool. A small, separate house a few yards away can also be rented, increasing the capacity to 9 people. The accommodation and pool have been created with quiet relaxation in mind, but gentle and interesting activities can be witnessed on the farm. The farm still works in the traditional way, with sheep, goats, and horses living on the quiet green pastures nearby. Outside there is a spacious terrace with table and loungers. There is a wood oven and a BBQ in the garden. The large 12x6 metre pool has a wonderful view over the mountains, with incredible sunsets over this unique place. In addition, the owner, Natalina, a shepherdess who lives in another house on the farm, is able to supply guests with a whole range of totally organic food produced on the farm. This can be negotiated privately.

The farm is not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
There is a fantastic 12 x 6 metre private pool with sunloungers and a great view over the mountains. The environment is interesting for children, being a working farm where there is a constant presence of sheep, goats and friendly goats. The farm produces fine, traditional food, often to the great benefit of the guests! In fact, Natalina is proud to say she is able to provide up to 80% of a families food using only the organic produce produced on this eco-farm.
A big balcony is accessed through the living room, and there are other areas for alfresco eating and drinking.
The farm lies just below he centre of the interesting medieval village of Corfino, which is only 300 metres away. Corfino's summer climate is particularly appealing, the hot Tuscan summer benefiting from the fresh, mountain air.

Flights to Pisa Airport from several UK airports including Gatwick, Stansted, Prestwick, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Leeds/Bradford and Manchester. Operators include Jet2, Ryanair and BA. Other destinations Genoa, Milan-Bergamo, Bologna. Trains to Viareggio, Florence. An English speaking mini-bus taxi can be arranged for airport pick-ups at a cost of 90 Euros e/w. It is also available for other excursions and local pick-ups.
Distances
The farm is near the main piazza of the village of Corfino. Corfino is a small mountain resort, with 3 small hotels and restaurants. The village is on the edge of the National Park of the Oricciella, with its well marked out paths and nature trails.
Further details
The Garfagnana area is well known for its excellent value cooking, using the best of local ingredients. A typical set lunch with 4 choices of pasta course, and 4 choices of main course costs only 9 Euros inclusive of bread, wine and coffee. It is possible to have a multi-course traditional Sunday lunch or dinner with ample wine, coffee and liquors for less than 25 euros.
Home made salamis, cheeses, organic vegetables, and free range eggs and chickens are often available on the farm.
Garfagnana is the best area in Tuscany for walking.
We have links with an outdoor activities company who offer guided walks and climbing, mountain biking, canoeing and world class gorge walking.
