The apartment is part of a nice house with private garden around. Plenty of public parking in front of the apartment and very close by. You will love our terrace and veranda. The latter enhance the apartment, making it feel larger and enables outdoor eating and drinking to be that bit more enjoyable. A renovated apartment perfect for couples, families, groups of friends. Outdoor shower for common use normally with warm solar-energy-heated water. From the balcony views of a pretty pine wood, and through this a glimpse to the sea and view to the beautiful wild mountain nearby. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holiday including private garden;some garden is shared. It includes barbecue area in common. The beach, the harbour, all the main services, shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, children's play ground, small grass football field, the baker's, the post office, the tourist office are at walking distance, from approximately 100 to 500 meters, or 5 minutes by car.

Notes on prices
Prices are meant for the apartment, for 2 and up to 4 people, per week, and in euros. Minimum stay normally 1 week\7 nights, but shorter stays are often allowed, 3\4 days. Possible discounts for longer stays than 1 week, depending on the season, on your dates and on availability. The total cost can depend again on time of year, number of people and length of stay. At times we have some special offers. Drop us a line and depending on the above we do our best to give you the best possible price.
Changeover day
Rentals: starting-finishing any day of the week, if available. Check-in: any time if apartment is available, otherwise around 3-4pm. We should know before hand in case guests arrive later than 8pm. Check-out: any time if apartment is avail or around 10am.

| Bathrooms: | The apartment has a large and comfortable bathroom with hot water; it has a bathtub and shower, bid่, water basin, accessories. There is an outdoor shower for common use, normally, during spring, summer and autumn, with warm solar-energy-heated water. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen and living area is colourful and well equipped with most necessary accessories-devices: gas cooker with oven, microwave, fridge plus freezer, cutlery, plates, plenty of cooking stuff and pans, toaster, a coach. We live close by just in case. |

Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is very pleasant also for families with children and for couples. You have a large open and sunny terrace communicating with a sheltered veranda and with this some private garden. Air-conditioning in summer is normally not needed then there are electric fans, plenty of windows and fresh air. In winter we provide our guests with either a gas heater or an electric one. Anyhow, if anything else or extra is needed we are always present and close by, ready to help you with whatever we can possibly do, just in case. We have other similar properties nearby and one is located in the same house, but independent, of course. The latter in case you happen to be a party of 2 or more families, or maybe a large group of friends, relatives and so on. Accessibility
There are a few easy stairs to reach the apartment from ground and garden floor, where the garage is. Once in the apartment you will be at garden level; it means the apartment nicely opens onto the garden. Consequently, the entrance to this property is from your own private veranda and garden.
Outside
The apartment is completely independent and is part of a bright, nice detached house with garden all around. In front of the hose and of your apartment there is a pretty pine wood. We are close on foot to the sea but also to some beautiful wild mountains, where much free climbing, trekking, hiking and more can be enjoyed. Km.5 away from your apartment there is an extraordinary awe-inspiring pre-historic archaeological area, as well, overlooking the whole coast, the Gulf of Orosei. This place is named Nuraghe Mannu and I often personally work there as a guide when I am not out hiking with tourists. You have your private part of the garden, with a large covered veranda with table, seats, sundeck-chairs, hammock, sun-umbrella and the large terrace where you can read, relax, play, eat out. Moreover, there is a shared part of the garden, you can use, with a comfortable and pleasant outdoor shower and a barbecue area.
Coast/Beach
Central for all the best activities in Cala Gonone, you will find the accommodation a very good base for a pleasant holiday, both for relaxing and for sport activities in Sardinia. The nearest beach is approximately 400\500 meters away, 10\15 minutes on foot, 5min by car. Imagine superb bays and beaches along our coast, a crystal clear aquamarine sea for diving, snorkeling and sailing. Huge limestone cliffs slabs and overhangs, walks through fantastic gorges, mountains and coastal paths.
Travel
Olbia is the nearest airport and port, 100km, and 1\1.5 hours by car. Alghero is the second closest airport, about 180km away and it normally takes 2,30\3 hours by car. Cagliari is the furthest airport/port, approx 200km, and 2.5/3 hours by car. Car hire is in Cala Gonone and in Sardinia normally recommended, however, there is also public and private transport from airports/ports. You can also hire a car, scooter,and other things here in Cala Gonone. Lots to do here also with no car!
Distances
Dorgali is a small town only 7km away and Cala Gonone is in fact part of this municipality. There are within few kilometers a few interesting museums, some very interesting archaeological sites:Tiscali,Serra-Orrios,Nuraghe-Mannu; fascinating caves-grottos and gorges (eg. Gorroppu). The famous 125, a lovely road in the wilderness with spectacular views. Nuoro is the nearest important town with some interesting museums to see, and Grazia Deledda' house; the Nobel Prize writer was in fact born here

In a few minutes you can reach, on foot, supermarkets, local shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, the cigarette-shop, the cash-machine at the post office, the internet point, the church, and much more.In the small nearby town of Dorgali there are 3 more banks with respective cash machines. There are plenty of cheap and delicious "farm-agriturismo" restaurants we can book for you. For a simple sun, sea, trekking,climbing holiday, and some more, Cala Gonone is hard to beat, especially if you are looking for a place with stunning scenery, and a very attractive climate while it may be still grey and wet in your country. As for getting to Cala Gonone and to the apartment,normally you follow directions for Nuoro, then you take the exit for Dorgali-Cala Gonone. If needed, we will with pleasure tell you all directions you may wish to have to get you here from the airport and-or from the port. In any case we shall meet you personally once here in Cala Gonone to show you up to your apartment and to give you your keys. There are various means of transport available for getting to Cala Gonone. Car hire is the simplest transfer method, though, even if you only use it to do the transfers back and to, to the airport\port. Booking notes
To validate the booking of this self catering apartment, a booking deposit by bank transfer or pay-pal is normally needed and suggested. It should be approximately 20/30/40/50% of the total rental amount, depending on the period. The balance is to be paid cash possibly on arrival or soon afterwards. You can also pay the full amount in advance and before arrival if you prefer, or at different stages before arrival. So can you pay the deposit. Payment by credit-cards or cheques is not accepted.

House swap
House swap considered, but maybe starting from november 2011 till spring 12 , for 2 adults and a small baby. It should be a fairly confortable though not at all luxurious self catering accomodation, possibly with some heating, and in Europe to start with.

About the owner
I was born here in Dorgali-Cala Gonone (Sardinia), where I have been most of my life.
However, I have spent several years in different foreign countries, especially in Europe and in Latin America, working, studying languages, learning about different cultures, customs, traditions.
Since many years I have finally been back in my homeland, in my island, Sardinia, where I live with my family.
I work as a tour guide mostly locally, doing hiking, trekking and archaeological tours. With my family we can therefore and with much pleasure help you with some useful tips of different sorts if you wish to, to enable you to get more of our hometown and surroundings, and thus make the most of your stay.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
As it often happens here in Sardinia, I built myself most of my house and the apartment we rent out to guests; I was helped by father in doing that, which is also quite usual here; we are used to working hard, that is.
I like this area, I guess basically because it is the place I was born in, my roots are here,in Dorgali-Cala Gonone. Moreover, I believe Sardinia is still a very interesting, varied and uncommon place, as well, and Cala Gonone is an exiting starting point. Here in Cala Gonone you can meet many interesting people from different countries, it is hardly ever too crowded, there is a lot of wild nature around, very close to town: a mixture of sea, beaches, small bays, hills, mountains, secluded sites by the sea and a bit further inland, caves, prehistoric sites, and more.

There is space and nature around our house; not to mention our private garden with balconies and verandas, barbeque place, outdoor shower connected with solar pannel.
