The villa is located at Porto Piccolo/Baja Sardinia, 150 meters from the sea. From the large terrace you will be able to admire the islands of Caprera and La Maddalena and the open sea. The house is independent and surrounded by a private garden. The house was built in 1967 by the famous architect Polese and it is typical of the area. It has been recently restored. The furniture, with its colors, is typical of Sardinia. The garden is natural, with typical trees of Sardinia, with its myrtle, Strawberry-trees which spread their scent all around and oleanders and bougainvillea with their beautiful flowers. It will take only 10 minutes to reach the beach of sand of Baja Sardinia, one of the most famous ones in the north of the island. By car, in 10 minutes, you will be able to reach Porto Cervo and the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean sea, the ones of the Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast). Baja Sardinia is a very pretty village, with shops and a nice square with views on the bay.

Notes on accommodation
The house has got satellite antenna. The guests can bring their own Sky Decoder. For internet access, we can give a pre-paid internet key (cost 40 euros).
Accessibility
The house is not suitable for people with mobility problems because there is one step at the main door and also steps inside the house to divide the different areas.
Outside
The house has got a large terrace with wonderful seascape. The terrace is furnished with tables and chairs, a large sun umbrella and chairs to lye in the sun.
Coast/Beach
The house is 150 metres far from the coast, with its magnificent rocks of granite, typical of Sardinia. The main beach of Baja Sardinia is 500 metres far and there are also other beaches, in the opposite direction, in a place called Tre Monti, which are 600 metres far and are very beautiful.
Golf
The very famous and very beautiful Pevero Golf Club is 10kms far from the house.

Airport Costa Smeralda/Olbia: 36kms.
Port of Olbia: 34kms.
Port of Golfo Aranci: 44kms.

Distance from Baja Sardinia: 500 metres.

Further details
The beach of Baja Sardinia and the beaches of Tre Monti or those of the Costa Smeralda are ideal also for children who will be able to play with the white sand and swimm in waters with the color of emerald. From Baja Sardinia you can book wonderful tours to the wonderful islands of La Maddalena, Spargi, Budelli, Carprera etc.
If you like shopping you can visit Porto Cervo, only 7kms far, with its very interesting architecture, its famous shops, restaurants and nightclubs.
At Baja Sardinia you can go dancing to the famous disco called Ritual, which is located partially inside a cavern of granite (ca 1km from the house).
Sardinia offers mainly the most beautiful rockses and beaches in the world, but you will also be able to appreciate typical food of the island, which is really special.
The closest supermarket is 1km from the house (15 minutes walk). In Olbia there is a huge Mall called Iperstanda, with supermarket, various shops, coffee shops etc.
At Cannigione, 15 minutes by car, you can visit the weekly market (also in Baja Sardinia, but smaller, each Tuesday morning).

About the owner
I was born in 1961 and I live in Florence. I have two children, a girl of 17 and a boy of 19. I have been working with my husband in a veterinarian clinic. I love history of art so I often visit museums. I also love reading, mainly authors of the 19th century. I love Florence, my hometown.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
My father went to Sardinia the first time in 1966 for business and fell in love with it. The same happened to the whole family. We have been going to our house for our holidays for more than 40 years, each year, and we still love it. Even the long trip to reach Sardinia is a total "detachment" from the usual life. It makes one really feel on holiday, far from work, far from every day life. Sardinia is like another planet. Wonderful rockses of pink or gray granit of the strangest shapes, wonderful trees, a very wild landscape.
Unique benefits of the property
When I am in my house in Sardinia I feel happy. Everything around is beautiful. The view from the terrace is worth the long trip. The house is easy to keep clean and my children, when they were younger, loved to play in the garden and, mainly, loved the beach of Baja Sardinia.
