Detached Bungalow set in a 1/3 of an acre of private grounds. With it's peaceful atmosphere and leisurely pace of life, It is perfectly situated to explore the charms of this beautiful unspoilt Mediterranean Island. The house has 4 bedrooms,1)15ft x 12ft 2)15ft x 10ft 3)11ft x11ft 4)11ft x 12ft. It is bright and extremely spacious. There is a large covered veranda 16ft x 19ft for alfresco dining. There is a small covered porch at the front 10ft x 8ft to catch the morning sun. Also the front patio is 10ft x 50ft the sides are also tiled if you want to chase the sun. Areas for playing games. All of the following are within a 15 minute drive: Lido, Bombarde, Lazzeretta, Porto Ferro Beaches. Alghero, with its multitude of restaurants, pizzerias, bars, cafes and Shops. Alghero Harbour and marina offer boat trips and boat hire. The local village is a twenty minute stroll (1.3 miles) where you can buy provisions, visit the bank or pharmacy, there is a cantina and also a bar.

There is a charge of £10 pp for final clean, bed linen, towels (beach towels not supplied), £5 pppw gas, electricity, water.
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required, with the balance due 6 weeks prior to departure. A separate security deposit of £150 is also required on arrival. Changeover day. Flexible. Check out time is 10am. Check in time is 3pm.

Travel
Alghero Airport 5 mins drive. From Stansted. Olbia Airport 90 mins drive. From Gatwick (EasyJet). Gatwick-Alghero Sats in Summer,Thomsons. Car hire is recommended due to the rural location.

Alghero has an abundance of fine restaurants, pizzerias, cafe's, bars, boutiques, perfume and souvenir shops.
Boat trips can be taken from the marina. Also boat, car, cycle, mopeds can be rented. Excellent for families and couples, not really for clubbers! In the local village there is a bank, pharmacy, tobacconists, small supermarket, and bar. Santa Maria la Palma can be walked to in about twenty minutes.
Booking notes
Minimum 7 day rental. Non refundable deposit of 30% upon confirmation with balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to departure. A security deposit of £150 is required and returned subject to no damage/breakages. Internet access available at €10 per week (bring your own laptop).

My name is Paul and my wife is Diane. we have lived here in Santa maria la Palma for the past 3 years,but have been coming here for 10 years.We are cleaners, meet & greeters, cooks, taxi drivers, gardeners, for our guests and for other owners. It's a varied life busy in the summer more relaxed in the winter, but it is very enjoyable and highly recommended way of life.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought our first house here in 2003 we completely renovated it, rented it for a few years but then felt it was time to sell, it was very close to the runway and although not a problem initially, as the airport became busier it was more intrusive. We then found this property near Santa Maria La Palma, although in need of complete renovation, it was in such a peaceful location and within walking distance (1 mile) to the village shop,bank,chemists and most importantly Bar.
We have now (2 years ago) completely renovated the house.
Unique benefits of the property
The main advantages of this location is firstly it's peacefulness. It is only 6 miles from at least 5 super beaches. The same distance from Alghero. Only 2 miles from the airport (but not in the flightpath) So no long transfers etc you can normally be in the house within 40 mins of touching down. (subject to queues for car hire) We have a large Garden enclosed patio and barbecue area 2 bathrooms with instant hot water.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with easy access to beaches, nightlife, restaurants etc and most of all safety this is the place for you.
