Apartment Medieval Tower "Torre" Living room with Kitchen 4 Double Bedrooms (possibility of extra single beds) 4 Bathrooms The Medieval Tower Apartment dates back to the time of Lapo di Castiglionchio (1200) and is the old heart of the Farm. To stay in this Tower means to sleep in history. Today the tower is divided into 4 levels; on each level we have 1 double bedroom with an extra divan bed and private bathroom. The four bedrooms and the living room are furnished in a rustic medieval style. The charming living room, with its stone walls, fireplace and big oval table fashioned from oak casks, invites you to spend your time with your friends or family in the surroundings of bygone times. |

Notes on accommodation
There's also the opportunity to enjoy horse riding and mountain biking on the estate. Guided visits of the farm take place weekly, allowing the clients not only to see the wine cellars and country life museum, but also sample the farm products.
Activities for children are organized and an Internet Point is available at the reception.
A characteristic restaurant offers the possibility to taste the delicious Tuscany specialties.
Outside
The Farmhouse stands on the hills near Florence (only 20 minutes driving from Florence), close to the place that was for centuries, the Cradle of the Renaissance and of the worlds cultural history. From Florence to Fattoria Castiglionchio it's just a short trip but the diversity of the countryside appears never ending. Small parish churches and monasteries alternate with the villas and castles of nobile Florentine families. The estate is about 3 km from the village of Pontassieve, an attractive Medieval village where you will find many shops, banks, markets, several very good restaurants, and a shopping center. In Pontassieve there is frequent Train service to the center of Florence. The train takes about 20 minutes to get Downtown and is an easy way to travel for those who do not wish to take their car into the city. It is easy to park at or close to the Pontassieve Station.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful, long and fancy beaches of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are just 70 km away (about 1 hour driving).

Pontassieve (1,5 miles from the Villa), is an attractive medieval town where you will find a good choice of shops, banks, several very good restaurants and a shopping centre. There is a regular train service for the center of Florence, which takes less than 1/2 hour and is excellent for those who do not wish to take the car to go into the city.

Since years, I directly manage the holiday apartments in many beautiful Villas and Farmhouses settled in the hills around Florence.
Each apartment is strictly inspected by me to ensure quality stay for my guests.
I love to welcome overseas visitors to Tuscany, because it means having a window on the world and having contact with different cultures and traditions.
