Residence Bella Vista (completed 2010) is a new high quality build of 14 apartments (7 single storey and 7 duplex) with shared swimming pool. The room sizes are generous. Our apartment has been highly specified during the build process and we fitted it out with expensive quality furnishings to make it 'home from home'. The location is superb in a peaceful scenic position looking down the valley to Salo and Lake Garda. You may choose to visit the lake and surrounding villages by the lake ferries during the day, returning for a late afternoon swim and dinner in the evenings. This part of the lake (around Salo and Gardone Riviera) is considered the most cosmopolitan of the whole of Lake Garda and the area chosen by wealthy Italians to build their second homes, being accessible from Milan. Salo itself is an old Roman town with narrow cobbled streets and high walls for shade. Therein you will find many fine shops, restaurants, cafes and bars and a long lake promenade.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning and ceiling fans (downstairs). Upright fans also available. The bedrooms are large enough to accommodate camp beds (available) for small children if parents wish to have their children sleep with them. Whilst the apartment can potentially sleep 8 people, we prefer to restrict bookings to a maximum of 6. A surcharge will be made for over 6 people. The accommodation is ideal for two couples with own private facilities both upstairs and downstairs. For large groups or families, we can arrange similar accommodation in the same complex with other owners.
Accessibility
In view of the steps leading to the apartment entrance and down to the pool area, the accommodation may not be considered suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
Outside
The swimming pool is shared with the other owners of the complex and is open from May - October. The entrance to the complex is through electric gates, where you may may drive to the underground garages. Alternatively, further parking is available near to the swimming pool. Steps to the rear of the property lead to a walled walkway with shrubs (illuminated at night) leading to the entrance of the property. This walkway continues to further steps at the end of the residence leading down to the pool and sunbathing areas and pedestrian access to the garages. Breathtaking views of the lake are found by the pool and the apartment's own terrace.
Skiing
For a spectacular view over Lake Garda there is nothing to beat a ride on the Malcesine cableway, which rises to 1700m in just 10 minutes and reaches an altitude of 1800m at the top of Monte Baldo. On a clear day you can see the whole of the lake, from Riva to Peschiera del Garda, a breathtaking panorama! The Malcesine cable car is unique in the world: on the upper section the cabin slowly rotates offering a view of 360° and the sensation of flying…
Special interest holidays
In winter the Monte Baldo slopes host a vibrant ski season of sport and entertainment against the backdrop of Lake Garda: a really unforgettable experience! From the village of Malcesine you can easily reach the peaks of Monte Baldo using the convenient cableway. The cableway was recently completely renovated and allows ascent to an altitude of more than 1900 meters, offering the opportunity of a matchless experience enjoying a breathtaking panorama. For fans of skiing and snowboarding, this is the best way to reach the lifts, open from December to March, which will take you to fabulous slopes suited to all types of skiers, from beginners to professionals. The new cabins of the Malcesine cableway allow sports fans to go up the peaks of the Baldo by mountain-bike and parasail. In fact, with its dense network of trails, the Baldo is perfect for fans of two-wheelers. Its green plains that overlook the Garda make the perfect trampoline for an exciting leap into the void by parasail.

About the owner
I have been fortunate to have been very successful in business enabling me to have wonderful holidays with my wife and family. Many of these have been taken around Lake Garda! I am now semi-retired and financial secure moving into the next stage of my life with my family. We now have more leisure time to enjoy life. I'm a firm believer in quality over quantity and we have taken great care to make this Italian property comfortable for both our own family and that of our guests. I firmly believe that the finish of this property is as high as you are likely to find anywhere around the lake. If you choose to rent it for your holiday, all we ask is you treat it as though it was your own so we can keep it looking new and cared for. I'm sure you and your family will enjoy your holiday!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
After visiting Lake Garda for holidays, my wife and I fell in love with the whole area. So much so, we decided decided to buy a place near to Salo, which we considered the best location on the Lake. We wanted a place that we could use for ourself and our family, nicely furnished, with a lake view and swimming pool, convenient for a nice restaurant and a short drive to supermarkets, Salo and the lake. After looking at over 100 properties, we finally found Bella Vista, which at the time was a hole in the ground. So perfect was the location and plans - we had no hesitation to buy off-plan and furnish it to our taste and install air-con for the hot summers. With two double bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a double sofa bed and two single camp beds for children we have covered all options.
Unique benefits of the property
We know what we are getting when we come to Bella Vista. All the things we looked for when we searched to buy a property. Somewhere for us to enjoy and share with our friends and family. We normally fly into Milan (Bergamo) and it takes approx 1.25 hrs to drive to the property from the airport. It is near enough to find the hustle and bustle around beautiful Salo, yet far enough away for complete relaxation in a peaceful and clean area in the hills. Relax on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool and gaze at the mountains to the left, watching the eagles soar - an incredible sight. Then as your eyes move down the valley you see the river meandering through the trees... lovely and then finally you gaze at the lake and the white sails of the yachts in the distance... Awesome!!
