Notes on accommodation
Heating, cleaning, linen and towels (not beach) are all included within the rental prices. The apartments are full of character and are central located. 'Il Basso' is located at the ground floor and the 'Large Apartment' at the first floor of a typical 18th century building, in a silent pedestrian area. The building has typical white façade and beautiful stone-worked interiors. It is pleasantly cool in summer and has hearth and heating for winter. Free parking area at 2 minutes walk from the house.

Both apartments have steps to access inside.
Coast/Beach
Within 20 minutes drive from Locorotondo there are several lovely beaches (the Puglian coastline stretches for some 500 miles in total): Savelletri, Capitolo, Egnazia, Torrecanne, free and equipped beaches, both rocky and sandy ones. Within 30 minutes drive, there is the WWF protected nature reserve of Torre Guaceto with various activities and a lovely beach.
Golf
Golf is available near the town of Fasano which is around a 10 minutes drive from Locorotondo. Open all year, the course provides a challenging 18 hole par 72 course located close to the sea with great views of the Adriatic.

Nearest airport is Brindisi approx 45 mins drive (Ryanair). Bari airport approx 50 mins drive (Ryanair, British Airways, Alitalia). Rome airport approx 4.5 – 5 hrs drive (British Airways, Alitalia, Easyjet among others). Car hire from airports - Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt. By Train - Locorotondo Railway station approx 1km distance from property.
Distances
There are many places of interest near Locorotondo: Alberobello 5 min drive. The capital of White Cones (International Human Resource by UNESCO), Martina Franca 5 min drive a 'Baroque jewel' with nice shops! Cisternino 10 min drive pretty town with a lot of character. Fasano Safari Zoo Park 10 min drive. Lecce 'The Florence of the South' with its wonderful Baroque architecture 1 hour drive. The Grottos of Castellana 30 min drive one of the most important speleologist complex in Italy.

Puglia (the heel of Italy’s boot) is a region hitherto unspoilt by mass tourism, peaceful, with rustic charm, wonderful towns and villages, great sandy beaches and fine authentic Italian cuisine. Many Italians choose to holiday here from the north - but not too many to spoil it! Famous for its strange conical shaped agricultural buildings 'the trulli' which are dotted all over the countryside and which are being preserved and converted.
Locorotondo has been awarded as one of The most beautiful Italian villages: The name derives from old Latin word Locus Rotundus, rounded place. White Locorotondo is the most beautiful balcony in Murgia dei Trulli. From its belvedere, you can admire territory that at times seems emotional: a mosaic made of small vineyards surrounded by stoned walls, scrubs of Mediterranean forests and silver olive tree gardens that surround the old manor farms, thousands of trullo houses spread in the villages. Moreover, the small old centre of Locorotondo, closed into its circular perfection of stones and mortars, once upon a time marked by walls, seems pending between dream and reality: the white colour of lime wraps everything, it looks like flashing background of baroque architecture of local stones, underlining the intense colour of flowers on balconies. Characteristic peaky roofs made of grey stoned chiancarelle, called cummerse, exalt the facades, that inside represent the typical environment of star vaults.
Secular devotion for grapes cultivation, favoured the production of white wines of excellent quality, such as the famous Bianco Locorotondo Doc: fresh, light, dry, of delicate wine scent, ideal for appetizers, excellent with fish and shellfish.
