Self catering holiday accommodation in Le Marche set in a 16th century townhouse part of which was formally a lookout tower, giving spectacular views of the rolling hills of the Le Marche countryside. The property has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and has been converted into two quality apartments and two bed and breakfast rooms.
Based in the historic centre, you cant help but fall for the charms of this important town which was adopted by Pope Sixtus V 'Pope Montalto' as he was affectionately called who lived and trained in the town in the 16th Century.
Perfectly situated for those who want a mixed holiday as we are situated between the mountains of the Sibillini National Park to the east and the sandy beaches of Grottamare and San Benedetto del Tronto to the west.

Notes on prices
The prices that are quoted are weekly rates, if you are staying longer or shorter than a week we simply charge pro rata for the number of nights of your stay.
You will be billed in EUR and we also accept GBP, USD, CAD, AUD, NZD and JPY. Please let us know if you would prefer to make your payment using one of these currencies.
To secure your booking you will need to pay a deposit of 25% with the balance being paid 4 weeks before your arrival.
We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.
Changeover day
We are completely flexible on arrival and departure dates. Arrive and leave on any day to suit you - if you want to stay for longer or shorter than a week we simply charge for your accommodation pro rata.
Apartment One
|
Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed, two double wardrobes and chest of drawers with 2 bedside cabinets. There are both internal and external shutters.
Bedroom 2, on the top floor, has two single beds a wardrobe and a bedside cabinet. The room has original stone walls.
There is a lounge with two comfortable sofas, one of which converts into a double bed. This room is light and airy with a real wooden floor. There is a flat panel television, DVD player and radio.
There is a sun lounge on the top floor with comfortable seating and spectacular views.
The modern kitchen is very well equipped with a five burner gas hob and electric oven / fridge freezer / dishwasher / washing machine and is has ample cooking utensils and crockery.
The wet room / toilet is tiled with a walk in shower / wc / basin and tower storage cabinet.
There is a private roof terrace with sun loungers / chairs / dining table ideal for eating al fresco. There is outside lighting and lots of plants.

Apartment Two
|
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, built in wardrobe, beamed ceiling, terracotta tiled floors, shutters.
Bedroom 2 has two single beds, a built in wardrobe, bedside chest of drawers and feature windows with stonework showing through.
Lounge / Kitchen / Diner - a large light and airy room with fitted kitchen units, fridge freezer, sink, gas hob, electric oven. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils and crockery. The room has terracotta tiled floors and an L-shaped sofa, dining table and chairs and a flat panel television.
There is a modern bathroom with bath / overhead shower / toilet and basin.

Bed and Breakfast (October to March only)
|
|
From 1 October to 31 March we have two bed and breakfast rooms with shared bathroom available. The first room is a double and the second is a twin. Both rooms are done in a rustic style with exposed brickwork and terracotta floors. Bedroom one has exposed beams whilst bedroom two has spectacular views from the tower window.

Notes on accommodation
There is parking about 2 minutes away in the main square of the old town and additional parking about 5 minutes away just outside the walls of the old town.
If you are arriving during the siesta we can arrange to do some shopping for you before you arrive - please contact us for details.
All linen is provided but please bring your own beach towels.
Outside
For Apartment One only there is a private roof terrace with sun loungers / chairs / dining table ideal for eating al fresco. There is outside lighting, an umbrella, porcelain floor tiles and lots of plants with stunning views.
Apartment 2 has a garden with a pool which is excellent for cooling off in the hot Italian summers.
Coast/Beach
25 minutes drive to the beaches of Grottamare and San Benedetto del Tronto on the Adriatic coast. These are beautiful sandy beaches lined with palm trees and have a large selection places to eat on the beachfront. There is also swimming in the mountain lake of the National Park.
Golf
Within easy reach of Montalto there is a golf course that has very reasonable prices.
Skiing
There are two ski resorts approximately 40 minutes drive from Montalto.

Ancona 1 1/2 hours drive
Forli Bologna 2 1/2 hours
Rome 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive
Car hire is essential for exploring this beautiful region of Italy.

Montalto has cafe bars, a pub, bank, post office, tobacconist, greengrocer, pizzeria, restaurant, hairdresser / barber, DVD shop, jewellers, opticians, baker, patisserie, butcher, hardware shop, museums, florist, petrol station, pizza takeaway, dry cleaners, fresh pasta shop, several churches, museums and market on Wednesday mornings.
Booking notes
We require a 25% deposit to secure your booking with the balance being paid no more than 2 weeks before your arrival and we accept all major credit and debit cards.
There are not security deposits, no final cleaning payments and no heating surcharges.
