The delightful towns and villages nearby offer restaurants, markets, festivals, produce fairs and more at any season, and many of our guests return year after year to make the most of them all. The house is ideal for family holidays,in all seasons. The property has a large open plan living room, with comfortable armchairs a TV/DVD player, dining table and chairs and a range of books and games. The beautiful bespoke kitchen is well equipped with oven, electric hob, microwave and a dishwasher. The anatomical latex mattresses (anti-allergenic) will keep you cool. The property has been furnished with some beautiful antiques and paintings. The fine facilities the villa provides, together with the welcoming atmosphere, created by the refined furnishings and with its own private pool, set in green surroundings and panoramic view, assure a really relaxing holiday. Accessibility
Part of the villa have been specially constructed to provide accommodation for wheelchair users or guests with mobility problems in full compliance with architectural guidelines for disabled access. Excellent children's facilities - private swimming pool and play park, fenced private garden entirely closed.
This is a fantastic area for walking and truffle hunting (seasonal). Mountain biking can also be done from the house with miles and miles of "white tracks" nearby.
Outside
Up to 16 can eat out in the shade under the patio or under the iron gazebo. There is additional seating on the terrace outside the kitchen and on the sunny balcony. There is a large barbecue for outdoor cooking. The garden is full of ortenzie, lavanda and fruit trees.The private swimming pool (18 x 6m) is child-friendly. The old farm house is located in the centre of an estate of 50 hectares of farmland and surrounded by fields of wheat and sunflowers and an age-old oak wood. This is an excellent base for visiting all parts of Tuscany and Umbria. Situated in ancient times on the border between the Etruscan and Umbrian territories, not far from Florence, Cortona,Anghiari, Sansepolcro and Arezzo. Is especially loved exploring the atmospheric lanes , where you can absorb the true spirit of medieval. You can also visit farms that produce wine, olive oil and cheese. Lake Trasimeno is 30 minutes drive away with sand and beach type facilities. The coast at Rimini/Riccione is about one and half hours' drive away

The 18 hole Championship Golf Course of Antognolla, designed by the famous course architect Robert Trent Jones jr. is situated in central Umbria only 20 minutes south of villa Lilla.
The course is dominated by the medieval castle of Antognolla and is an unrivaled experience for both the professional and amateur golfer alike. The sensitive and interesting design of Trent Jones is complemented by the intense natural beauty of the area, with unspoiled far reaching views, abundant woodland and natural flora and the spectacular medieval and typical Umbrian architecture both inside and around the golf course.
The Antognolla golf school is headed by the resident professional Santiago Mignini, who utilises all modern golf teaching methods. Santiago has an impressive knowledge and experience of golf having also played in the Junior Italian squad.

2 Supermarket is 5 minutes away by car, bucher exellent bake, family trattoria, 15 minutes away by car banks, post office, bars, petrol station, family run trattoria.There is a riding stable only a 10 minute drive from Villa Lilla. The 50 hectares of terrain which surround the property are cultivated land with cereals, hay, sugar-beet, and vines (sangiovese, trebbiano and malvasia grapes) by the family of Lido. In September you can visit the Sorci Castle, when the ghost of the Knight Baldaccio will be sure to appear. In addition, in September you can participate in the Palio della Balestra, which is a return to the times of the Medicis. October is a lovely time to come to this part of Tuscany. We are surrounded by food and wine festivals! You can sample truffles, porcini mushrooms and chestnuts all washed down with great local wines.We can also offer wine, oil and cheese tasting evenings. It is possible to enjoy the leisure time by fishing at the nearby lake, playing bowls or strolling along the country roads or going for mountain-biking, swimming, taking swimming lesson, or doing some archery.Italian Language Courses - English speaking Italian teacher will come to the villa and teach. Art Courses - local artist will come to the villa and help you with your brush strokes. Our chief rental period runs from April until the end of October. The remainder of the year is often pleasant, but in winter the temperature may sink below freezing. There is a central heat with provide warmth for any cool periods in spring and fall.

Our normal changeover day is Saturday. Those flying from the UK may prefer a Sunday changeover, to tie in with the current scheduling of London Stansted-Perugia flights (Perugia airport being just over half an hour away). Please ask.

About the owner
Here we are Lido and Luca. We have given a lot of thought about what we would do in the homes we inherited from our great-grandparents - old Tuscan farmers bound to this land. We had initially planned to sell them but then we realized we would regret this decision terribly. Renovation on the houses was done and we thought it would be nice to share all of this with our guests: the lush countryside surrounding the house and some good wine thus reflecting the simplicity of our lifestyle. So we worked patiently to make Villa Lilla into what see today. We are happy to offer you a place with bright sunlit rooms, large gardens, swimming pool plus numerous sport activities or simply organize your holidays, anniversaries and weddings. The peaceful of the Tuscany and Umbria countryside, the location that's in the countryside and at the same time in the city (we are just 5 minutes walking distance to the medieval center of Anghiari and Sansepolcro). The chirping of birds, sunset, sunrise, the large swimming pool, the charming and well furnished accommodations and of course my single presence in some hours of the day allows a privacy you absolute!
Yes, I really think that Villa Lilla it's one of the best vacation rentals in Tuscany and the best vacation rental in Anghiari. It is well equipped and furnished with large open terraces and beautifully well kept gardens.
