Splendid 18th century mansion with typical Sienese architecture. It is situated next to the historical village of Basciano. The house position is ideal because one reaches the Chianti region in a few minutes or can enjoy the culture and convenience of the city of Siena. Siena offers many traditional events and is situated only 6 km away. The mansion is surrounded by a garden with oak-trees, linden-trees, cypresses and a terrace full of many mediterranean plants, where one can relax and have a pleasant stay outside. The swimming-pool is 6m x12 m and is situated on a terrace with pergola. From the terrace there is an excellent view of the hills including, woods and fields. The estate is situated at an altitude of 350 m above sea level. The climate is usually full of sunshine with a light breeze. Changeover day
The rent is usually weekly for the period from April to October. It may be shorter (from 3 nights) in case of last minute and during the period of low season. The changeover day is Saturday, flexible for the last minute and in the low season.

For the weekly/nightly rentals the included services are: water, electricity, gas. Linen and towels. Final cleaning. Garden and swimming pool maintenance. Internet ADSL Wireless. Not included services: central heating, air conditioning, payment by consume. The monthly rent does not include the utilities (water, electricity, gas, etc).

The property location allows a pleasant vacation in the countryside, and is a good point of reference for visiting Siena (5 miles), Florence (35 miles by the highway, which is 8 miles away), Castellina in Chianti (10 miles), Quercegrossa at 2 miles (shops, bars, post office, chemists, restaurant, pizzeria). Mountains, sea and lakes are 50 miles away. Thermal baths, riding-school, tennis court, mountain-bikes (to rent) in the surroundings (10-20 minutes by auto).
Booking notes
Upon receipt of your confirmation for the period requested, you will receive a rental contract. At the moment of signing the contract you are required to send an instalment of the 30% on the total rental amount, by bank transfer or with the PayPal system. The remainder will be paid on arrival.

This property is absolutely stunning. The apartments are spacious and very comfortable with large well-equiped kitchens and new bathrooms.
We were hoping for somewhere we could enjoy just lounging around at and this was perfect. The house was cool in the day when it was sweltering outside and the pool was lovely to sit beside, under the shade of the gazebo.
We travelled with our 5 month old son and a dog and the aparmtent was excellent for both, with a gated courtyard for the pup and baby cot supplied. The hosts were more than welcoming for our group. You will not forget the Jasmine scent after your stay here and will be torn between recommending it to friends and keeping it as your secret. We hope to go back next year! Thanks to the lovely hosts.
