Possibility of excursions by boat or to the natural oases Vendicari, Pantalica and Cava Grande del Cassibile. Easy hiking Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe. Not to be missed in May and June performances of classical tragedies Greek theater in Syracuse.

Travel
The Catania airport is at the distance of about 60km. At request, possibility transfer from Catania to Siracusa. For the strategic position of the accommodation is not essential to use the car.
Distances
The apartment is in the heart of Syracuse at the gates of the historic center (Ortigia) and 15 minutes from the archaeological park (Greek teather, Dionisio's ear, Roman gymnasium...) and the archaeologic museum. 40 kilometers from the famous Baroque town of Noto (UNESCO heritage). You can go to nearly beautiful places by bus or by train!

In the ground flour of the same building there is a coin self-service laundry. Nearby there are a lot of shops, banks, typical restaurants, bar, ice-cream shops, supermarkets. At distance of 200m there is the typical street-market with fish, fruit and vegetables. Possibility to make boat excursion to the sea caves or in the port.
Booking notes
For a booking send an e.mail. After it is demanded a deposit about of 30% of the whole rental cost by bank transfer. On arrival pay the difference by cash and the security deposit of 30% of the price, that I will return in the end, if the house will come given back without damages.

I was born in Siracusa and I love my town because the climate is mild and the sea is beautiful in every season.
Every stone speaks to you about the Greeks, Romans, Arabs,Spanish,... while you visit the monuments, you seem to walk with them.
The area is quiet and easily accessible with Catania airport less than an hours drive away.
Unique benefits of the property
The property is in strategic position and it is not essential to have the car. It's near the bridge that joins the dry land with Ortigia Island (the old town) and it is just 20 minutes walk from the Archeologic Park. The station and the terminal bus are only 600 metres away. There are many fabulous beaches at few kilometres. It is easy the access by car and to parking.
