Al Bastini is just 15 minutes from Lucca and about 30 minutes to the sandy resorts of the Versilian coast. Pisa international airport is 45 minutes by car, where there are regular direct flights to America and most European cities. The house, approximately 350 square meters (c.3500 square feet), is built of traditional Tuscan chestnut beams, local stone and terracotta tiles and has beautiful views towards Pisa and the mediaeval walled city of Lucca, just a few minutes away. Other facilities of the house include a three quarter size billiard table, table tennis, three outside eating areas both in the sun and the shade, maid service, satellite television with a large plasma screen, ice maker and of course a plentiful number of garden chairs and sunbeds (including two hammocks). Al Bastini has been the summer home from home for many returning guests over the past 20 years from all parts of the world and we feel you will have an unforgettable holiday here.

Notes on accommodation
Pool heating and air conditioning charges are extra and based on metered usage. Typical prices are 200 euros per week for the pool, and 150 euros per week for air conditioning. Rooms are individually controlled since some people prefer not to use it.
Outside
Pool is 10x5m and is heated on request. There are ample sun-beds, chairs and a large shaded dining area.
Pool heating is not required in the summer months and air conditioning usually for June, July and August.
Coast/Beach
30 minutes drive to the Versilian coast. Forte dei Marmi is about 45 mins and cinque terre about one and a half hours.
Travel
Pisa international airport 45 mins drive. Milan Malpensa 4 hours drive. Rome airport 3 and half hours. Florence airport one hour.
