Villa Gotta is an absolute treasure tucked between the beautiful hilltop villages of Vignale Monferrato and Fubine in the heart of the Monferrato wine region of Piedmont. This 250 year old villa has recently been restored to luxurious standards retaining traditional Piedmontese features blended with a modern touch for the most discerning of visitors. The villa is set over three floors with separate entrances with grand marble staircases at each wing, comprises six double bedrooms, five luxury bathrooms (four en-suite) and a spectacular 14 x 8.5 m swimming pool overlooking the villas private five acre forest. The specification throughout is of the highest standards including granite worktops in the kitchen, all modern appliances, tiled flooring throughout and underfloor heating. Totally secluded, the villa sits at the top of a hill with spectacular views of Vignale, San Lorenzo and Cuccaro and is truly one of the most stunning restorations in southern Piedmont.

Notes on prices
Prices are per week in euros. Discounts available for early booking for 2012. 30% deposit required on booking. Balance 3 months prior to arrival date. Cleaning/laundry charge of 25 euros per person per week. Returnable breakage deposit of 500 euros. Rates from November 2011 through March 2012 available on request.
Changeover day
Saturday. Check out by 10am and arrivals after 4pm.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is set in its own private five acre forest, totally secluded. There are large, landscaped gardens laid mostly to lawn. The large courtyard and garage can accommodate up to 5/6 cars. Underfloor heating is laid to the ground floor and Master bedroom/en-suite. All other rooms are heated by radiator. The villa is suitable for large parties and there are ample facilities for children.
Outside
The extensive grounds are landscaped with a large patio and modern outside dining table and chairs for 'alfresco' dining. There is a large private 14m x 8.5 m swimming pool with a beige liner to reflect beautifully the light blue colour of the sky. Hot - solar heated - and cold poolside shower is provided. A barbecue is provided and there are sufficient sunloungers, cushions for the largest of parties.
Coast/Beach
The coastal region of the Italian Riveria is within an hours drive and ski resorts can be reached in around 90 mins.
Golf
The exclusive 'Golf Margara' with its championship courses is a five minute drive away. This club and courses are exclusive and host major Italian and European championships. There are two courses - (36 holes) set in the most stunning of landscapes. Horse riding is available at the stables near Margara golf course - 5 mins away. At the villa, fitness equipment is provided - boxing bag and gloves, 2 mountain bikes, basketball board and footballs etc.
Skiing
Major ski resorts are accessible within 90 minutes, Pila, Courmeyer being the best and closest.

Perfect for those wanting a relaxing holiday in one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of Italy, Piedmont is world famous for its cuisine and wines. The villa is on the 'Strada del Vino, Monferrato' and there is a famous 'enoteca' in Vignale. Here, the best wines of Piedmont can be purchased at very reasonable prices.

The villa is close to 5 major airports:
Genoa- 50 mins.
Turin - 1 hour.
Milano Malpensa -1 hour.
Milano Linate -1 hour.
Milano Bergamo -1 hour 30 mins.
Distances
The villa is 2 mins from Fubine and 4 mins from Vignale Monferrato. Both have ample basic shopping facilities. Alessandria is 15 mins away and Casale Monferrato is c. 20 minute drive. For the more discerning shopper, Torino is an hour away and the designer shops of Milano are within a 90 minute drive. The beautiful romantic villages of Portifino and Camoglie can be reached in an hour and half.
Further details
The region is famous for its white truffles and there are numerous festivals and markets throughout the year to celebrate the truffle season (autumn) and the wonderful wines and gourmet food of Piedmont.
