50 minutes from Lamezia airport San Rocco is an ideal location for a great holiday. Calabria has great weather all year round, you can be in your shorts in December or within a couple of hours skiing on the slopes of the Sila plateau. The beaches are stunning and the mountainous interior provides equally breathtaking scenery. The complex provides a shared swimming pool as well as a small pool for toddlers and is only a 3 minute walk from the beach where there is a superb club house and restaurant, sun beds and several beach bars. Water sports and fishing are also available. The village is 5 minutes walk away where there are a few shops and great cafes (the locals are very friendly and helpful). You can also catch the bus to neighbouring Soverato, a buzzing town 15 minutes away. If you feel the need for some more substantial retail therapy several large shopping centres are approximately 45 minutes away.

Within the complex there is a shared swimming pool and toddler’s pool.
Coast/Beach
The beach is a 3 minutes walk from the apartment and has superb white sand and warm safe swimming. Water sports and fishing are available and Isca Marina is an enjoyable 1km walk along the nature reserve adjacent to the beach.
Whilst down at the beach there is the VIP club which has a fantastic restaurant and bar as well as sun beds and changing facilities and amazingly friendly staff. There are also several other beach bars and restaurants.
Skiing

Travel
Airport transfers available, price upon request. Fly from Stansted to Lamezia, hire a car and drive for 50 mins; take the train or local bus; or we can arrange for you to get collected, just ask. Fly to Rome, rent a car and drive for 6 hours. Fly to Naples and hire a car and drive for 4 hours. Nearest travel links. Airport Lamezia. Railway St Andrea (N) and Badelato (S) 2km.
Distances
The local village of Isca is 1km away. The nearest larger town of Soverato is a 15 minute drive (buses are available). The bustling town of Rochella is a 30 minute drive along the coast road. Larger shopping centres are about a 45 minute drive. Many beautiful mountain villages are only a short drive away.
Further details
A short 5 minute walk will take you to Isca, a small village with a big heart where the people are immensely welcoming. There are several shops (closed between 2-5pm) and cafes, as well as an incredibly well stocked supermarket with superb deli counter. Most days you can also visit the bustling travelling market in the nearby towns. The marina is about one mile away and can be reached by enjoying a stroll along the beach or by road.
Booking notes
Payment by PayPal or sterling cheque. £100 deposit required refundable upon return of keys and provided no damage. A payment off 30% of the rent has to be paid on booking to secure the apartment, full payment 10 weeks prior. Cancellation charges apply.

Dear Sarah, We had a really lovely holiday. Your apartment was excellent. The area provided plenty to do and the holiday was peaceful and relaxing too. You had said that the people were lovely and we certainly agree with you. This was our first trip to Italy and we look forward to having more Italian adventures.
