Built in traditional Sardinian style, Casa di Lucertola is set in a quiet location within pretty gardens. The villa has its own private pool, gas BBQ and large fully furnished terrace both with views over the beautiful Golfo di Olbia towards Isola Tavolara. The villa is furnished to a high standard, and is professionally maintained. As well as the private pool, there is also use of the condominiums communal pool with life guard(May 29th to September 18th). There are many beautiful safe sandy beaches close by, the nearest is only a 10 minute walk. Olbia is 10 minutes, and its airport is 15 minutes away, whilst Alghero is a 1.5 hour drive straight across the island. This villa is in a perfect location for exploring the coast and unspoilt interior of this beautiful island. Ideal for a summer holiday, or for an out of season break. The sea and beaches are fantastic from early May to late October.

Changeover day
During the high season July and August preferred changeover day is Saturday, but it is always worth checking to see if we have flexibility. Arrival after 2pm, departure before 10am.

Notes on accommodation
Private covered parking for two cars. Central heating and air-conditioning available on request, additional charge of £50 per week. Beds for 7, but if an additional bed is required there is an extra charge of £35. Cot available at no extra charge, but it must be requested at time of booking. Representative available locally to help you with any information during your stay. Plus detailed information pack available on arrival with details of all local facilities and attractions. Outside
Set in attractive private Mediterranean style gardens, the villa has a large covered terrace with outstanding views across the bay and the hills. On the terrace there is a large table with 8 chairs, gas BBQ. Private swimming pool with lounger chairs. There is also access to a large communal swimming pool with life guard, this is available June to September.
Coast/Beach
The villa is in a perfect position for exploring the many stunning beaches of the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo. The nearest beach is a 10 minute walk away, there are 6 more beaches all within a 10 minute drive. The sea is crystal clear, all the beaches have clean white sand. Most have lounger, windsurf and pedalo hire, and beach bars in season. Sea is warm from early May to November. Facilities for sub aqua, snorkeling, swimming, sailing, big game fishing, kite and windsurfing.
Golf
Golf is available at the world renowned Pevero Gold Club, one of the most beautiful and exclusive golf courses in the world. Pevero is a 30 minute drive.
Special interest holidays
The villa is well located for exploring the unspoilt interior of the island, the mountains and the many archaeological remains. Olbia is a lively city with many facilities, whilst the glamour of the Costa Smeralda and the artist village of San Panteleo is only a 20 minute drive away. Corsica can be reached by ferry from Golfo Aranci 10 minutes drive away. Available locally trekking, horseback riding, tennis, beach volley ball, sub-aqau, windsurfing and kite flying. Boat hire available in local marinas. Also exclusive use of a 41ft catamaran, with child friendly and English speaking skipper at affordable rates. Longer charters also available at special rates.
Travel
Olbia airport is a 15 minute drive away, and Alghero airport is a 1.5 hour drive. Olbia is also a sea port, with regular ferries to take you to various major sea ports on mainland Italy. Car hire is recommended to be able to explore the interior of the island and different beaches. Flights are available from most UK regional airports to Olbia, cheap flights with Easyjet, Ryanair and Jet 2. Charter flights from Heathrow summer only. Rome is only 20 minutes by plane from Olbia airport.
Distances
Nearest shops, restaraunts, bars and sandy beach are a 10 minute walk. Olbia 10 minutes drive, Porto Rotondo 15 minutes. Porto Cervo and its beaches 30 minutes. La Maddalena archipelago 45 minutes, accessible from Palau. Ferries run frequently from Golfo Aranci and Santa Teresa to Corsica.
Further details
Pittulongu has various good quality restaurants and bars, the closest a 2 minute walk away, there are several right on the beach within walking distance. There are also two well stocked local supermarkets, one within walking distance, along with a fish shop at the bottom of the road. Locally there is also a pharmacy, a bread shop, and several pizza take aways. Larger supermarkets can be found in Olbia, along with a twice weekly street market, and many shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs. In August there is also a lively night market in the main street. Olbia also has several large banks and a Hospital. There is a large swimming pool complex 8km away with three Olympic size swimming pools, a health spa and tennis complex - open all year.
There is a fantastic water park in Baia Sardinia.

Booking notes
The villa generally booked for full weeks, but we will consider shorter breaks out of season. Prices in UK pounds. Deposit of 50% payable at time of booking (non refundable) balance due 1 (one) month before departure. Breakage deposit £500 payable with the final balance, returned when the villa has been checked. Deposit will be returned to you on your return home.

We drove up the Costa Smeralda coast and experienced both Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo, we also spend time on the beaches of Cala di Volpe, unforgettable!! We had a fabulous time at the villa. It was great having our own pool, and being able to cook at leisure. the layout is great - we dined both inside and out and the open plan layout is spacious and welcoming. The beaches were great, and the info pack you provided was very useful. We have been telling everyone how beautiful Sardinia is, what a wonderful villa, and such a short flight away. July 09.

We are a family of 4, we first visited the island when our children were young, and have seen them grow up enjoying the freedom and safety of this beautiful island - there is something for everyone!
As with all our guests we work very hard and are restricted to definitive holiday periods, so we try and make everyday count for our guests by sharing the knowledge that we have built up over the last 7 years.
We try and make the whole holiday decision making and booking as easy and painless as possible. So from the moment someone chooses to holiday in our property the fun starts!

The property is conveniently located close to Olbia and its airport, so transfers time is 15 minutes.
Locally we have restaurants, bars and shops that remain open all year round - very important.
We are situated in one of the prettiest and unspoilt areas of the island, yet it has the unique benefit of having access to amazing beaches, unspoilt countryside, the glamour of the Costa Smeralda.
