Chez Jasmine can be described as a doll's house, and is to be found at the heart of the old town. Guests can enjoy marvellous peace and quiet, birdsong and the bells of the centuries-old Baroque church. However, once you leave the seclusion of this private courtyard, you are plunged into a world of culture, gastronomy, local colour and some of the most beautifully-restored historical buildings in the world.

Any discounts for longer stays can be individually negotiated with the owner. Prices are calculated for two people, with an extra charge of 35 Euros per person per night.

Changeover day
Possibly Friday or Saturday as changeover day, but there is a fair amount of flexibility.

All household linen provided. Guests have access to all the towels or linen they need and can change these as often as they wish. Property cleaned once a week. |
Notes on accommodation
Chez Jasmine is built on three flights, so there are some stairs to be navigated. However, this does not appear to have deterred any of the young children who have stayed. Nonetheless, it would not be ideally-suited for those who are either reluctant or unable to move up and down these easily.

Outside
A downstairs patio-style courtyard with barbecue and garden furniture. Also the roof garden is fully equipped for eating out or enjoying the music wafting across from the Sicilian Jazz Centre, which frequently has summer concerts.
Coast/Beach
Palermo is virtually surrounded by beaches, of which one of the most popular - Mondello - is approx. six miles away and can be reached by bus.
Travel
Nearest airport: Punta Raisi (coaches leave every 30 mins).
Palermo Port: around a mile and a half from Chez Jasmine.
Car hire absolutely superfluous for Chez Jasmine.
Distances
The city centre is less than 30 minutes on foot, but the city's main architectural and artistic heritage is seconds away on foot.
Further details
The old Arab 'Kalsa' neighbourhood, which is where the property is located, is the liveliest and most colourful area of the city. It is one street back from a lovely seafront promenade. The area is teeming with wonderful places to eat, wine bars, museums, churches and one of the loveliest and most unusual concert halls in the world 'Lo Spasimo', a roofless, Gothic-style venue for marvellous cultural events and music. The Horticultural Gardens are virtually across the road, as well as parkland.

A one-night deposit is to be paid on booking, either via Paypal or a bank transfer. The remainder on arrival.
