Situated in a country village, in the Serchio valley, north of Lucca, our simple but comfortable house is the ideal base for exploring northern Tuscany. Fantastic walking of all standards from very strenuous to leisurely. For culture and shopping, Lucca and Florence are within easy reach. The house sleeps 6 comfortably. The nearest airport is Pisa, an easy one hour journey away. Many low cost carriers fly to Pisa from the UK including jet2.com, RyanAir, Thomsonfly and Easyjet. A car is essential for a holiday to our house. Many car hire companies serve Pisa and we find easycaritalia.it to be very efficient and competitive. Please contact for details.

Notes on accommodation
Lucca, only 15 minutes from Piegaio, has a wealth of culture, interesting shops and historical interest. Throughout July in the Grand Piazza in Lucca there are outdoor live concerts. It is also the home of Puccini, and a concert is put on every night of the year by the Puccini society.

Pisa airport is 1 hour drive away. Car hire is available at the airport - we recommend 'easycaritalia.it'.
Distances
The village has a butcher, pharmacy, post office,bar and 2 general stores, all within a 5 minute walk The nearest supermarket is 20 mins away. The nearest restaurant is 10 mins walk away. There is also a good public tennis court (€5 an hour). The beautiful walled city of Lucca is just 20 mins drive away. Florence, Siena and San Gimignano are all within reach for day trips.
Further details
There is an outdoor swimming pool open from April to September in Bagni di Lucca.
