Notes on accommodation
The apartment is situated on the second floor and features two double sized bedrooms with four single beds and a sofa bed in the lounge that can sleep a further two people. The combined kitchen/lounge area links onto the terrace overlooking the scenic views of the olive gardens, Tropea and the Mediterranean sea. There is an English speaking rep on site throughout the day. Internet access is available at reception.
Accessibility
Tropea is a municipality located within the province of Vibo Valentia, in Calabria (Southern Italy). The town is a famous bathing place, situated on a reef, in the gulf of St. Euphemia connected with the mainland by a narrow strip in the Tyrrhenian Sea, surrounded by beautiful beaches and vast mountain ranges providing great diversity throughout the peninsula. The area basks in sun much of the year round with summer temperatures often in the 30 - 40C range with a cooling coastal breeze.
Outside
Outside includes table and chairs for taking in the views in the sunshine from your private terrace over looking the olive trees, communal gardens, pool and breathtaking views and unique sunsets of the Tyrannien sea and Tropea.
Coast/Beach
Award winning beaches. Voted NO.1 by the Times. Tropea is situated on one of the most stunning coastlines, no wonder this coast is called ‘La Costa degli Dei’, the Coast of the Gods. Many regard Tropea as Calabria's jewel, the most picturesque of its towns. Tropea pulls off a rare trick by managing to be both unspoilt and fashionable, becoming one of the most sought-after places in Calabria.
Golf
There is a 9 hole golf course situated a half hour drive from the resort. Built in an old farm and lying amongst orange and olive trees. Enchanting experience in spring (April-May), when you can play in the smell of orange flowers, and autumn-winter, when you can refresh yourself picking an orange from the trees.
Skiing
There is an even more southerly ski resort which is probably the most southerly resort in mainland Europe at Gambarie in Aspromonte a small ski resort with just 4 ski lifts (2 chair lifts, 2 surface lifts) but it does boast a very impressive 670m (2198 feet) of vertical descent. Gambarie in Aspromonte has 5 pistes. The Ski resort is just 100km away from Tropea and offers a very good Ski School.

Villiaggio Marasusa is perfectly located for a plethora of activities on your holiday. Suba diving, wind surfing, sailing, boat hire, bird watching, vineyards, extensive national parks, great walks and award winning beaches. Tour Stromboli Volcano by night and see the lava, magical!
Travel
Flights are available currently indirect to Lamezia from the UK with Monarch Airlinnes and indirect - EasyJet/Alitalia/Ryanair via Milan/Rome. There are also direct flights available from Germany, Italy, Poland, Holland, USA and Canada. Distance from airport is 55k and will take you around 45 minutes driving. Several car hire companies from Lamezia airport. Alternative transportation: Train from Lamezia to Tropea/Parghelia. Please contact owner should you require weblinks.
Distances
Tropea is set in a perfect location to all local historic locations including Pizzo and Vibo and situated only a two hour drive from Sicilia. There is a boat trip and tour available to the active volcano of Stromboli available from Tropea harbour.

It is a line with narrow streets and piazzas you will find typical Italian pizzerias, little restaurants, pavement cafés and shops. At dusk soak up the atmosphere in one of the cafes in the central piazza – the main evening gathering place during holidays in Tropea.

I purchased this property in Tropea with my cousin after visiting in Feb 09. The views simply captured us and we were both sold.
