This light and airy first floor apartment is situated on the outskirts of the town of Agropoli in a residential cul-de-sac surrounded by olive groves and lush green countryside. It is only a 15 minute walk to the sandy beach at the Bay of Trentova. Sea, sun, culture, tradition and excellent food as well as peace and quiet offer an attractive combination to make you want to visit this area. This area is the gateway to the National Park of Cilento and a good place from which to explore the Greek temples at Paestum, the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, Mount Vesuvius and the Amalfi coast. The town of Agropoli only 5 mins drive is the heart of Magna Graecia or Greater Greece and its Greek name, Akropolis, means High Town. The beaches at Agropoli are sandy, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and a delightful marina from where there are boat trips to Capri, Amalfi coast, Palinuro and Sapri.

Coast/Beach
The sandy beach at the Bay of Trentova is only a 15 minute walk or a 3 minute drive. There is a further small beach at the port of Agropoli only 5 mins drive away and further beaches on the Lungomare 10 mins drive. The popular coastal town of Santa Maria di Castellabate with sandy beaches is approx 20 mins away by car.

Agropoli town centre is approx 5 mins in the car. There is a small village a few mins drive where there are two small supermarkets, cafes and pizzeria. The Greek temples at Paestum are 15 mins drive. The Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum are an hours drive or a train runs to them from Agropoli. The Amalfi coast is approx an hour and a half drive or boats can be caught directly across from Agropoli marina in July and August and take approx an hour.

Further details
There are two small supermarkets at few mins drive away or a 15 min walk in the small village of Moio. The are also two pizzerias and small sports centre with tennis courts and small swimmiing pool. The large town of Agropoli has many restaurants, cafes, piazza, shops and supermarkets. The old part of the town can be walked to from the piazza where there are two restaurants overlooking the marina and offer spectacular sunsets.
The are also events held at the Castle in the summer. The popular coastal town of Santa Maria di Castellabate is 20 mins away. The historic hilltop town of Castellabate is 25 mins where there are also restaurants. Further down the coast, the pretty village of Acciaroli offers lovely beaches and restaurants and a beautiful coastal drive from Santa Maria. Even further south is Ascea, Casel Velino, Palinuro and finally Sapri which marks the end of the Cilento coast.
The whole area is steeped in history. The hilltop villages surrounding Agropoli such as Torchiara, Rocca Cilento, Vatolla, Prignano Cilento, Laureana Cilento, all offer a fascinating insight the history and traditions of the Cilento region.
Sample the delicious local food, wine, fruit, olive oil and of course the famous mozzarella cheese made locally on buffalo farms close to Agropoli. The area has so much to offer such as pony trekking, walking through the Cilento National Park, boat trips, quad biking and so much more.
Booking notes
A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking to secure required dates. The balance is payable 6 weeks before arrival.
