The Ippolito apartment is suitable for 4/6 people and includes entrance, living room with dining table for 6 people, comfortable sofa bed for 2 people (bed size: 140 x 190 cm), fully equipped kitchen (electric oven standard size, stove with 4 gas burners, fridge and freezer), 2 bathrooms with shower, one double bed (bed size 160 x 200 cm) and one bedroom with twin beds (bed size 80 x 190 cm). It is very quiet since the bedrooms don't face the main street but a large and bright court. The Galantino apartment is suitable for 2/4 people and includes entrance/living room with dining table for 4 people, comfortable sofa bed for 2 people (bed size: 140 x 190 cm), fully equipped kitchen (electric oven standard size, stove with 4 gas burners, fridge and freezer), 1 bathroom with shower, one double bedroom (bed size 160 x 200 cm).

Accessibility
Both apartments Ippolito (4+1 people) and Galantino (2+2 people) are at the 2nd floor without elevator. There are 44 steps. They have been recently restored, decorated and carefully furnished on February 2009.

Outside
The apartments are located in the district of Santa Maria Novella, this beautiful church is only 300 mt far. The Duomo is less then 5 minutes walk and the river only 2 minute walk, as well as the train station and the main bus stations, so it is very easy to make daily excursions to the main sites of Tuscany and Italy.

The building is a typical 'palazzo' of the historic center of Florence, dates back to the XVII century, and was the last home of the blessed Hippolytus Galantinius who died on 14th April 1619, as reminds us a marble bust on the facade.

Travel
The nearest airport is Vespucci airport of Florence, 9km away. The main train station and the main bus stations are 1 minute walk.

Distances
The center of Florence is a marvellous, complex 'urban organism' composed of homes, museums, churches, squares, streets, narrow alleys, palaces, shops, schools, garages etc. Almost all streets have commercial establishments, and are punctuated by bars, cafes and restaurants. The city offers a vast selection of restaurants and trattorie.

Further details
There are also small supermarkets and food stores and two large covered markets (San Lorenzo and Sant'Ambrogio), which I suggest you visit and do some of your shopping. Some food stores and mini markets are open on Sundays too. The closest to our apartments is just 200 mt.
